#8362 of 12367 OTD price for Honda CRV 2009 LX awd-can I do better by jodynepal

Mar 05, 2009 (2:47 pm)

This is the lowest quote I'm getting for a CRV 2009 LX AWD--- I'm in Bowie Maryland.

Can I do any better, if so which area should I negotiate. I'm a single mom and this will be my first new car purchase.

$ 19,270.61 Vehicle price 2009 CR-V LX 2WD
+ $ 670.00 Freight (destination)
+ $ Free Accessories if done before St. Patrick's Day
+ $ 97.50 Doc Fee
= $ 20,038.11__Taxable Sub-total___________
+ $ 1,202.28 Sales Tax - 6 %
+ $ 274.00 Tag & title fees______________
= $ 21,514.39 TOTAL PRICE - OUT THE DOOR *

I will be trading in a 2001 Honda CRV LX 4wd. I'm not sure I will use the same dealership to do a trade in or not, thoughts?

Is this 2009 HONDA CR-V LX 4WD but not 2WD?
If yes, it is a great deal.

Has anyone had experience of dealers adding fee, modifying options, or changing anything that is different from the email agreement at the last minute of delivering the car to you? How reliable they are at that stage of closing a deal?

My trade in is a 4WD

#8366 of 12367 internet pricing by esnook

Mar 05, 2009 (7:28 pm)

I have a question about an internet price I received recently. It's a pretty vague price at the moment, but it's for an '09 CRV EX at 21984.77 without TTL. Taxes in LA are 9% and registration will probably run around 300. Is this a good deal? It is listed in the email from the internet salesperson that the price is no-haggle. Does this mean that they most likely won't accept an offer for less?

I feel like such a rube when buying a car and just have this horrible feeling that I'm always getting taken advantage of.

Thanks
Eric

Please help since this is my first experience buying a new car.
Lowest offer I got so far is $23,760.00 (includes destination & handling) + TTL. Is this a good price? What price range should be considered "reasonable" for now?
Also, how much is the "invoice" price for a dealership to install a remote starter?
Thanks everyone!

#8368 of 12367 Almost Buying Experience - 2009/2008 LX AWD - can I do better? by awdesign

Mar 05, 2009 (11:26 pm)

Try to take my shot today at North CA
Previously I got a price 18.5 K for 2008 LX AWD from them, at that moment, they say they this price is including destination fee, but I guess its probably not true. But the 19,170 is still sounds like a good deal for me. So I drive 30 mi to them and find out they don't have it in stock. Then they try to sell me 2009 LX 4wd. Starting form 21,000, they do hard sell and I do hard defense. Finally we end up with 20, 400 (car + Des) and 1350 for accessories (roof rack + whole backup sensor system + body side modeling). I kind of getting upset about the game they play (use 2008 LX AWD as a hook) and its already 8:45pm, so I drop the offer and go home for typing my experience now. I don't know, is this is a doable price? Should I go for it? or do price match with other dealer? This is so hard~ Especially I don't speak good English. Please give me some advice.....Thanks in advance.

You can tell pretty much which price is lowest but reasonable by check and write down info/pricing re EXL-FWD in this thread for past month or so. Just a quick guess I think you still have at least 400 lower window.

Thanks bigdadi118.
I've read posts for the last 2 months, most of them only stated the OTD price. I am needing to compare prices before TTL.

Does anyone make any purchase for this model around OK / TX lately?? Please post, I really really need as much info. as possible to make my decision.
Thanks all.
