Santerev1:

Which dealer did you use to get your price? I got one online quote from Martin Main Line and one from Sussman. I live closest to Conicelli, but never had much luck on price there....

Thank you.

I get an offer that is $400 below the invoice. Is it good enough? Should I continue searching? Thanks.

I have to ask...what more do you expect?

There aren't any incentives on these and they really aren't distressed merchandise.

At 400.00 below invoice I would wtch for any "surprises" because they aren't making any money.

Thanks for the help. You think there may be some "surprises"? I am a newbie on this. What kind of surprises I should be aware of? Thanks.

I see a lot of tricks pulled especially in this marketplace. It's getting to be like Do. Calif here.

Last minute surprises such as adding the destination charge to their quote or telling you they made a "mistake" or telling you they have to do a trade to get it and that will cost another 500.00.

Or forcing you to buy an aftermarket alarm system.

No free lunch!

OTD can vary semi-substantially due to different car tax rates.

but my general rule of thumb that i recommend is look up the invoice price of the vehicle, and shoot for 1,200 below invoice including the destination charge and appearance package or any other "packages" they add on. the whole appearance package thing is only a numbers game.

i wound up paying around 1,000 below invoice on a 2008 EX AWD. in this kind of economy where car companies including the japanese ones having problems selling cars, you should have a lot of leverage even on the 09 model, on exl, etc.

I was quoted a price for a 2009 CRV EX AWD Auto for 23,209. I am waiting for a reply if this includes the destination chg. If it does, is this a good price. If not what dealership did you get a better deal in the Catskill's ?????

2009 EX in Central Florida by jam8

I am being quoted $21,995 plus a "Dealer BS Fee" of $600 for a total of $22,545 + tax & tag. This looks like $200 over invoice. I have not tried to put dealer against dealer as I am totally sick of the "process". Don't mind leaving a few $$ on the table to reduce my stress but still want a decent deal. Any comments?
