I am planning to buy CRV Honda 2009 (2WD EX-L 4) in Atlanta in next two weeks. I have not contacted the dealer yet. The price quoted in the website (http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com/2009-honda-cr-v-5.htm) is Retail Price ($25,895), Dealer Invoice ($24,090) Destination Charge ($670). Is it a reasonable to offer (24090+670) $24,760 excluding Tax and other processing fees? Did anyone purchased this vehicle recently? What was the OTD price? Thanks. |

Happy Holiday's everyone and I hope that you are having a nice day. We are the proud owner's of a new 2009 CRV EX AWD and had a great experience with a local dealer. I negotiated over the internet ,and offered $23,500.00 which was accepted. The MSRP was approximately $25,200.00. The only additional dealer fee was a $199.00 doc fee which was fine. They even gave us splash guards for free. We love the Crave and wish you success in your negoatiations. Of course with the present state of deflation in the economy and more competition on the way like the Kia Soul, the buyer with good credit or cash is in a great position.

This site was very helpful in helping me plan my new car purchase (thanks!), so I wanted to follow up with my own post. I purchased the 2009 CRV EX-L 4WD from Boch last night. My final negotiated price was $24,700 (Mass tax, document fee of $298, and $75 title prep were extra). I also added in the all weather mats, wheel locks, and cargo tray which they packaged for me at $400. My experience was very good overall. They were tough on my trade in amount and we went back and forth about 5 times on that. I even left and they called me back in a few minutes later to increase their offer on the trade in. I think I got a fair deal in the end. The car is gorgeous and has some very nice features. I think I am going to go back to get the automatic starter installed next week!

I'm looking to purchase a 2009 EX-L AWD by the end of the year. However, I can't decide weather I want to shell out the $1,700 for the Nav/Backup Camera. The car will primarily be driven by my wife and my car ('09 Murano) has a backup camera that is fantastic. However, the rear visibility of the Murano is worse than the CR-V which makes it a necessity. We have an aftermarket GPS that works fine for the occasional use. I'm concerned about safety and have heard complaints about rear visibility in the CR-V. However, $1,700 is a bit steep for just the camera. I know aftermarket cameras work, but I want something that automatically turns on when you turn on the car and put it in reverse. Otherwise, the wife won't use it. Your thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.
