I see no point in name calling. but perhaps I did not make myself clear, is there a benefit/incentive to the dealer to 'sell' the current Honda financing deal? In other words if I there would be a difference in the total price when the dealer knows that you are financing using the Honda financing or using your own financing? Thanks

you made yourself very clear and i answered your question. i repeat, there is NO difference in selling price if you use their financing or use your own. There is, of course, a difference in the total cost. You said your financing is ~1.4% higher than Honda's. Therefore, expect to pay 1.4% more when all is said and done, if you go with your own financing.

When I bought my '08 LX they tried to tack on a $55 'document' fee when I had clearly asked for their total price excluding only tax+license. So we dickered about that and they came back and asked me if I was financing. Turns out that for every $10K financed they get some special hold back. Since I was financing the entire thing they used the hold back to pay the doc fees. These guys do lie, but it was clear they wanted to do 100% Honda financing. I was going for 36mo too, but that didn't seem to matter.

Btw, my final cost on the '08 LX was $19,250 + tax/license.

anextra1,
What have you found? I'm in NoCal (Bay Area) looking for the same car. My best OTD quote so far was $29,189 (an internet quote with a starting price of $26,600), but other dealers seem to think that dealer is lying to get me onsite and other quotes are closer to an OTD price of $29,500 to $29,800.... Thanks.

Hello all... i'm looking at buying a 2009 CRV EX-L W/O NAV in the Boston area. Can anyone out there give me an OTD price that they paid? I'm willing to go to any dealership to get the best value.

I'm trading in my 2001 civic EX with approx 130,000 miles.
I'm looking for wheel locks and remote starter to be included.

Anyone out there buying right now?

I am in the Phila area getting the same car (EXL AWD, 2009). I have been getting quotes - the best so far is 385 under invoice. Car invoice with delv is $25,873. I have right now $25,488 with a cargo tray. There is a dealer in Madison NJ that has also been competitive - you may want to check them out. If I can get 500 under, I will jump on the offer.

Remote starter I hear is around $400 no idea on wheel locks. Look on Ebay for those.....
Let me know how you make out. I have been having a hard time getting a decent deal with so many 2008 on the lot. If you want 2008, they are offering me $24,888.

I'm surprised to hear that they are offering you 2008's. I've visited two dealers here and both have said that they are out of 2008's. I'd be willing to buy one, but it would have to be a significant value ($1000/or more).

I was offered a $1 over invoice ($25,874 including delivery) deal, but it included wheel locks and a remote starter. It was a special "black Friday" offer... I can probably get it anyway. They also offered me $5,000 for my trade in, and Kelly Blue Book says it is worth $4,600.00 for dealer trade in.

I feel like it's a pretty good deal, but I need to know that i'm not getting ripped off...
