With an overstock of literally 100s of 2008 CR-Vs still available at many dealers, I would not take B.S. from any dealer, especially with the current credit crunch. Its a buyer's market now and buyers should take advantage of it, especially if they are willing to wait until November or December to buy. Just think way back when as Honda dealers were charging over $1000 of MSRP and there was a 6 month or more wait for high demand models. The time is ours!

Three weeks ago I bought a 08 cr-v ex-l w/navi for 26,400 with 3.9% financing at Castle Honda in Morton Grove, IL. Go to the young Asian guy there, he'll give you deal. Free car washes too.

Dacia15,
No it was not the OTD price. The OTD price was
$26,400
+$150 doc fee,
+ $140 title and new license fee
+8% tax( I live in cook county)
plus special 3.9% financing
free 1st oil change and car washes for life.

Make sure you go straight to the Asian guy ( i can email you his name), the other sales people look, shall I say, "unprofessional". You could probably go a couple hundred lower since they still have many 08's on the lot. They also offered me 200 below dealers invoice for an 09 but we wanted the 3.9 financing which saved us over 2 grand. The car was made in Japan and runs very nice so far.

Good luck and let us know how you did.

Hey all, got me our second Honda last month. My daughter has a Fit Sport and she loves it! Anyways, we got a Honda CR-V LX for our daily driver to work to save on gas bills a little bit (go figure). We paid $500 under invoice in late August. So it's like $19,484 for the car before taxes and the $599 pre-delivery service fee NE Florida dealers charge. Total was $21,594 OTD with new tags. Florida+county tax is 7%. We also got mud flaps, door edge guards, cargo divider/cover, and pin stripes, with it, at no additional charge. Is that good?

SInce states and counties have different tax rates, it's impossible to know with the limited info you gave.

Pls provide MSRP, then:
negotiated car amount, tax, title, and doc/admin fees = OTD
