Keep up the good work, guys!   I am getting email quotes on '08 CR-V EX-L 4x4 with Navigation. The lowest offer is $ 27,183 (compared to edmunds' invoice price of $27,033), including destination charge but excluding tax/license/title/service fees. What would a good final price be?   Also, I am thinking of buying two accessories, i.e. day-night mirror and remote starter. I know they try to rip you off here. Honda.com lists these as costing a combined $831. How should I haggle for these and what would be a reasonable price? Replying to: desangelrn (Apr 24, 2008 7:06 am) Most stores won't do an "in and out".   It's usually a way for a person to avoid tax and it exposes the dealer to a lot of liability.   Just sell your Odyssey to your buyer.

I haven't gone into the dealer yet, but plan on soon. I am hoping for $27,000. Replying to: gogetem (Apr 25, 2008 4:42 am) Forget the e-mail prices, they are way high on Long Island. I got e-mail quotes from Baron, Huntington and Nardy and all three had lower in store prices. Huntington was a complete waste of my time. On a EX-L AWD the salesman and I haggled over the price for about a half hour and came up with $25,800 (with a few add-ons). He went to get approval from the manager and came back with a price of $28,411!!! We essentially walked out. The best deals we found were from Baron and Babylon (where we bought ours).

The price you have been quoted is in the ballpark of the best quotes I have received here; most have been higher. I haven't made a counter offer yet. Do share if you reach an agreement on a lower price (as will I).

Don’t purchase your new Honda at Hennessy Honda in GA. They ripped me off. They sold me a new CRV with a defect. A piece of front wheel well trim was cut out. They don’t want to pay for the repair. They knew about this defect. Theservice mgr. there told me that I should have caught this when I did the inspection of the vehicle.
