Seattle Bellevue Washington Northwest 2008 EX-L AWD purchase by peterdh2000

Hey all. There are not a lot of NW posters on here, as I found in trying to do research, so here is my deal.

$26,050 plus only TTL from Bellevue Honda for a 2008 EX-L AWD in my preferred color fresh off the truck with a 01/08 build date in Japan. Took delivery with 10 (PDI) miles on it. Took about 30 minutes to do the deal, longer for them to PDI and clean the transport goo off of it so I could take it home that day. It is just recently that I have been able to find my color 2008 EX-L on the lots up here--supply still seems tight, thus I am satisfied with the deal.

Car whispers "quality" in every way tactile and dynamic. I become more pleased with it during each drive.

2009 Honda CRV by txdon

After trying for a month to get an AWD Navi in Texas I have come to the conclusion I will have to order a new one and wait 6-12 weeks. I called Honda to find out when orders will be taken for the 2009s. They reported late spring/early summer. I might as well wait a couple of months and order a 2009.

Does anyone know when orders were first taken fore the 2008s??
Thanks, Don

Hey guys, well after having the big debate over to either buy a CR-V or Santa Fe i think that we have decided for the CR-V.
We want the EX-L 4wd with NAV and also want to get the wood trim and fog lights.

What price should i expect to pay? I have set in my mind that im not going to pay MSRP.
So what are you guys paying for a CR-V like this one??

And do any of you like the wood trim? Does it look good in person?? Pics??

Thx in advance

2008 CRV EX 2WD/AWD BAY AREA CA OTD Price by newfizzy91

Hi all! I've been shopping for a 2008 CRV EX 2WD and was thinking about offering $22,800 otd but been reading the past 10 pages seeing that would have been too much. Got a dealer nearby trying to sell me an EX AWD for $23,000 since they didn't have 2WD EX . I was thinking that was a great deal until I saw $21,395 OTD for EX AWD. Anyone got any clue on where the deals are? After stumbling on to this board I'm thinking of offering:
EX 2WD = $21,000 otd
EX AWD = $21,500 otd
Any help is very appreciated!

Thanks everyone for all the great info I’ve read on this forum. Here’s my deal from a Southern California dealer (Power Honda in Valencia) that Edmonds recommends:

2008 CR-V EX-L w/Navi FWD White
Sales price: $26,650.00 includes destination charge
Doc Fee: $55.00
CA Sales tax: $2,210.59
I also got the Honda Care extended warranty (7Yrs/120,000 Mi) for $1,700.

If you don't need the AWD I won't get it. Read the disscussion topic section about the rear differential problems some people are having with the AWD's. I just bought a FWD because we'll be using it for city only.

Don't pay for dealer-installed "wood" trim - do it yourself after purchasing from several on-line parts sellers - dead simple. BTW it looks great, much better than the plastic surface.

The extended warranty is available at a fraction of the cost. Just search in edmunds.com "hondacare" You can cancel your warranty that you bought with the dealer and buy the one online. You will save $$$$

I also got the Honda Care extended warranty (7Yrs/120,000 Mi) for $1,700.

for 500 dollars I would definitely buy it. You will recuperate the costs at resale. There have NOT been any reported issues on the differential for the 2007-2008 models after a certain VIN from Japan 2007 model year.

Go for the AWD, you will not regret it !
