Replying to: chateau_sunset (Feb 17, 2008 4:13 pm) BTW, I am not working for Sport Honda. My statements are true about Sport Honda. All my hondas are serviced at Sport Honda and they do great work and customer service. Another trick I learned about service is that if that the service is not part of the warranty liek alignment, I tell the service person that I have a coupon for so and so. I asked if they can put it in the warranty and it will help us both, me not paying for it and dealer charging as high as they can for it through Honda - and it works. Your car must be still under warranty to do this. Good luck and I hope you get the best deal. |

I checked on Edmunds and the Invoice price was at approximately 22500. I thought I got an OK deal. Edmunds shows my price to be below what people have been paying in the region. So, I didnt bother much. I have seen people say they are paying much less in other states I didnt realize that the destination charge is essentially the dealer's profit. Looking at what others are paying, I feel I could have paid a good 1000 - 1500 less. Part of the problem also was that I was in a desperate need to buy a new car and this was the only dealer that had a AWD EX for the specific color. In summary, take your time, research everything and go in with a price that is a good 3000 below anything they quote. |

I'm in the market for a CR-V LX 2WD. Best quotes I've gotten so far are: $19,900 from a dealership in LA (I'm in San Diego) and $19,590 for a 2007 (from a dealership in Fontana.) The quote from the LA dealership includes destination, but not taxes and license, and the one in Fontana doesn't include taxes, license and destination. So, are these good prices? Thanks!

To all members. After reading all the previous letters posted over the last month or so I have come to the conclusion that there are great deals! on the CR-V. The best I have read about was from a member who paid $21,395 for a EX-AWD from Dublin Honda just outside of the Bay area of San Francisco. I notice Honda do not have any offers' on this model, and the sales guy's will try to steer you into a gas guzzling Pilot which is on offer for around $23,000 with a low interest rate of 0.9 or 1.9 apr. So! what with the recession on the horizon, I think it is only a matter of time before Honda get off their 'High Horse' and offer deals on the Cr-V. compatable with the Pilot deals now. I should have thought that the economic climate we will be seeing will bring down finance rates for those of us who have to use them! (or am I wrong?) Anyway I'm going to wait a few months before buying but will continue to read the experiences of you buyers out there! so keep those letters rolling in. Thanks. Martin (from Oakland ca) |

Please reply with your email address if you'd like the contact information for the sales person that I'm working with. His customer service is outstanding! Price for the EX-L w/NAV 4WD is $26,765.16, plus tax, title, and tags. Trin
