I am in So Cal. They told me that they won't be around until another 3 weeks (the end of October). So it is pretty true. Had alot of dealers tell me they had them in to only act surpised they weren't when I came in. I plan to buy from one of the dealers who told me the truth instead.

car deposit refund??? by suvgir1

I gave a $500 check deposit to the dealership so they would hold the glacier blue for me when it arrives... i got an offer of 20335 (includes pro pk) + TTL for a 2008 LX. i asked if it has keyless bcause it does not mention on the webpage, salesperson said yes. my question is.... if it does not have keyless entry and the pro pk that they mentioned, can i still get my 500 deposit if i decide not to purchase? I haven't sign any sales contract yet, just the credit application form and the four square paper. also, does the 20335 include the destination charge? thanks?

You should ask them and get it in writing also a deposit will not guarantee that you get the one they say they are holding for you. If a different customer comes in and they can sell it for more than you offered guess what . Now if you have a hold on one with a VIN number that is in transit then you have a better chance of all being true.

Good Luck..... MNF

i think its a good deal. i just spoke w/ a salesperson today from another dealership, he's saying that the 20335 + TTL quoted to me by the other dealership is not true, he's saying its too low. so i guess your 21700 OTD is a good deal.

I believe a little research would expand your potential for a great price; I contacted several dealers in the Tri-State area (IL, IA, WI) prior to my purchase. I found that most would congregate in the same price range (somewhere around MSRP) and that there was only one "diamond in the rough" Valley Honda, Aurora (IL). Their offer was for invoice + a few hundred dollars - I'm sure you might get a better deal in order for them to clear the "07 inventory from their lot.

I used the Fighting Chance method that is sold by Larry Bragg (Google) and it seemed to work well. Auto-buying methods proved to be a waste of time (i.e. Costco, Sam's Club, etc.) Larry Dulik provided me with this offer after providing him with my FC sheet detailing exactly what I wanted and listing the MSRP/Invoice prices for the specific vehicle with DIO I wanted. I also requested what the hr. rate was for install of accessories.

I recall looking in a forum to see how individuals rated dealerships and it turns out that there is much truth in their replies. I would recommend calling Larry Dulik at Valley Honda (Aurora, IL) to see if you could get a CRV at invoice. I tried several in the Chicagoland area and nobody was close. I tried four in IA (DBQ, CR, IC, DesMoines) without luck and I also tried Madison, WI.

I can provide you with more information if you wish.

leeyu01,

When you say 20370+595+500 = 21665 what does the 500 represent?
