Buying an 08 EXL below invoice/at invoice is not possible. The difference between an 07 and an 08 is huge: namely dual climate control and power seat... even some 07 are not selling at invoice.... getting an 08 at invoice is even...

I am in So. California. As far as I can find out no one will have an EX-L around here until the end of this month or a little later

Just remember that not every "price paid" really happened.

I myself bought a 2008 CRV in Indiana... I contacted Bob Rohrman(darn stricker), Penske(ard 500 belowe sticker), Honda West(ard 1000 belowe sticker) and finally the place which i bought my honda from(around 500+- above invoice), which i found quite reasonable. Basically, I am paying less than what people are paying when 07 hit the showroom.

Also remember that the purpose of setting up a business is to earn money... After reading some of the post, I really find some people being unreasonable with their salesman. We must understand that a sales is all about demand and supply. For example, in my area(IN)(i am schooling there), I find that the prices that we pay may be a little bit higher than states like IL and others, but that is partly due to the fact that most people in my area pays sticker...(AGAIn damn bob rohrman)... I personally think that it is just right that people want to earn in every business they do, but it must be of the right amount... I used this equation that i got from carbuyingtips.com (dealer real cost+5%). It is only fair that a business earn some money... After all my dad is a businessman, and the profit he earned kept my family going and paid tuition for my 3 siblings...

szer, i also purchased a 2008 crv in NY, following all tips from carbuyingtips.com. From my experience, 08 model is not that hot. one sales man gave me a quote of 500 over invoice (20370+595+500) soon after I tested the vehicle. But I walked away because I wanted to find if I could get better offer. I walked to another dealer and proposed my offer at invoice and the dealer offered invoice+200. We signed the contract, which took less than 15 minutes. I think many dealers would sell 08 model at 4% profit, which is invoice plus 200 to 300$. Greedy dealers will go for 5%.
