What do you all think of purchasing a 2007 CRV EX for $22,500...it has 185 miles. I was told this mileage incurred by driving from Pine Bluff, AR to Monroe, LA. Is this considered 'new'. This will be the first NEW car I've purchased in a long, long time and I am wanting to purchase a CRV this weekend. Please let me hear from someone. Thanks so much.

It is probably 2WD, not AWD CR-V. Have the dealer throw in some goodies for putting so many miles on it.

most definitely I would consider it new. I bought a caravan years ago with 2 miles on it (us test driving) and I bought this CRV at about 90 miles, mostly from transporting it from Murfreesboro to Franklin.

As long as warranty is intact, I would see it as new. When we almost bought a brand new RAV4 this year, it had one previous owner but not many miles. The loan company considered it new because it was within 2006-07 and had minimal miles.

Negotiate for it as you would a brand new car and make sure you get all the services of a new car owner...good luck

I would be VERY interested is seeing what your DVD headrests look like. I want a DVD in my silver CRV. I have been looking for an overhead but I will either loss the use of the rearview mirror or my kids wills watch a tiny screen... Are you able to post some pics? If not please send them to my g-mail at alisharrosegmail.com Thank you so much!!
I was also wondering on how the headrest is affected? Did you switch them out or add the dvd to the new funky design?

In the DFW area and as of last night the dealer was willing to offer $20,500 for a 2007 CRV LX 2WD with nothing on it. We offered $20,100 for it... should I take it or wait?
MSRP is $21,195 I think you should be able to buy it for less than the MSRP

A quote from another dealer was $20,795...

My Best Prices by dmathew347

I had recently bought my CRV few weeks ago, and i feel right now, there is much more room for negotiating the prices. I spent or "wasted" 4-5 months haggling over prices from many Washington DC area dealers. And when i look at "some" of the prices people are paying here for their CRV's, i feel that they are either happily willing to pay up the higher cost, or they are simply not bargaining hard. For any possible benefit it may serve potential new buyers, here are OTD (out the door prices - inclusive of all TTL, freight, floor mats, mud guard, wheel locks and fees), that i was able to obtain for various models of CRV's before settling on my chosen model (FWD CRV-EX for 23,400 OTD). Just make sure you:
- bargain hard
- willing to walk out and goto multiple dealers
- let the dealer actually make a "reasonable little" profit (about 3% in my book)
- quote actual prices paid from sites like Edmunds and actually show them the printout and URL
- go on a weekday towards the last week of the month
- opt to finance, and not pay in cash

OTD Prices (includes mud guards, wheel locks, and floor mats, but no additional options ):

EX FWD: $23,400
LX FWD: $20,800
EX AWD: $24,000
LX AWD: $22,300
EXL FWD: $25,650

I have no clue how to post on here....

I will email you since it will be quicker.

I originally wanted a drop down but dh pointed out that my rear visibility would be drastically cut. Had not even thought of that, so I guess I keep him around for a reason

The safety factor of the headrest is actually in the seat itself. They explained it to me but I stink at repeating, no monkey am I. Anyway, the headrest motions forward during impact, and that is located in the seat ot the poles or what have you, not in the headrest.

So they take the original headrests out (but make sure they give them to you anyway). The new headrests have the dvd's built in. They wire it so that it comes down thru the tubing where the headrest sat so there are not too many wires to trip over.

The screens can pivot downward some so if I adjust my seat or the sun is glaring, they can pivot the screen some. Also, they came with 2 wireless headsets.

All in all, it was expensive as the dickens, but DH had to have them....

I just called a local Honda here. They said it was a contract thing with a sub dvd place. Do they say the brand on the unit? He said I may have to contact the company myself. I talked to my hubby and he insist I get headrest ones... not an overhead... Men

There's much truth in what you say but you should break your prices down a bit more. OTD (as far as I know) includes state sales tax which can vary wildly. My sister in law and I just picked up a pair of LX 4/WD for $21,100 (car+destination $) here in NJ. Everything was done over the phone. The most effective tool was calling every dealer in the area, checking stock, being upfront with pricing we had obtained from other dealerships (maybe trimming $100 bucks here and there ) and remaining flexible with colors. I would argue that being able to tell a dealer you can walk in with cash and do the deal same day is as powerful a tool as needing financing.

BTW - we both got ~29 mpg on the way home.

$20100 before TTL is higher for LX-FWD. I got offer of $24000 OTD for EX-FWD. Try with McDavid of Frisco or Honda of McKinney. I am in Dallas area and looking for EX-FWD. My offer is $23400 OTD. Anyway I am not in hurry.

Internet Quotes for FWD EX in NJ/NY Metro Area by jersey_391

I got internet quotes of 22,251 and 22,243 for the BASE PRICE (no fees, destination charges $595, or taxes 7%) on the FWD EX. This is just the first step of my buying process, so I'm definitely going to try to talk them down more. How much more do you think I can get off in the NY/NJ area. I've also called around to about 6 area dealers and they have very limited quantities. Only one has my model and color in stock, but a couple said they would be getting more CR-Vs in May.
