guess I wasn't helpful...we were about $500 under MSRP in Franlin, Tn which is closest to Nashville. Travelled about an hour to get this deal.

Bought the 2007 AWD Honda CRV EX-L with navi in Ohio for 28,000. Figured I could have gotten a few hundred or so more off but really did not want to play any games. In and out relatively quick and very happy with my purchase. I love the car.

Southern New Mexico CR-V LX Price by lovegeorge

CR-Vs are scarce here in Southern New Mexico too. But within 50 miles of us we found two dealers willing to take $1000 off MSRP of the LX. We chose the one that didn't add on any fees, ie Inventory fee, processing fee, etc.

$20,895 was the final price. I didn't have any options, just the basic LX FWD. Courtesy Honda did charge a $599 "dealer fee" and I got the same fee from2 other dealers and they wouldn't budge on this fee. There was not much of a selection in the Orlando area for a White LX.

Hi TJX,

Could you elaborate a little about your dealing for the Crv EX-L at heritage? How did you negotiate? What did are the things you tell the dealer while you are negotiating to bring down to such a good price?

Please give us some inputs...

power seats, panoramic mroof and so forth! Argh! lol.... save me some money why don't ya! That sounds awesome!

And don't feel stupid for paying msrp or close to it. Sometimes you just deserve something nice for yourself so take it as that! You have something nice, right now not many on the road have it, so you are driving the oooooo factor out there

Seems like the price we paid was pretty comparable to or a little higher than most in this forum, but low comparied to the dealerships that we looked at.

23,945 + TTL for an inbound Whistler Silver/Gray CRV EX 4X4. Most of the other Iowa dealerships wanted MSRP (or more!) for the EX's, I was able to talk down dealers on the LX's a little more. We went through Chezik-Bell Honda in Iowa City -- though it was an hour and a half from home, they were much better to deal with, and ended up giving us the best price we were able to get around here. Randy Kuehl Honda in Cedar Rapids quoted a lower price via the internet, but twice when I went to the dealership there were no salespeople available to help me (can you come back later this afternoon?), and in general seemed that they didn't care if they sold a car or not.

Though the prices I was able to get in Iowa were not what others in larger metro areas have been able to get, it's still below the price that KBB and Edmunds say I should have paid (fairly significantly so, actually...), and this was the vehicle that we wanted, so it seems like a good deal to me. Plus, after having dealt with a number of shady dealers (not just Honda - seems like the lack of competition in Iowa makes it a lot easier for dealers to do whatever they want), we largely went with the dealer because they were no-nonsense - gave us the best price when we walked in the door, and were happy to do the whole deal on our terms.

I only found two "truly" internet sales dealerships, Herson's Honda in Rockville, Md. and Heritage Honda in Parkville, Md., just outside Baltimore. The Heritage Internet dealer is about $650 lower than Herson's. And the best part, you do not negotiate at either dealer, you just tell them the model you want and they will read off and email their price:
2007 Honda CR-V EX-Leather 4WD
MSRP.................$26,595 (including destination);
Internet price.......$25,137 (including destination);
Dealer Processing....$99.00;
Internet Final Price.$25,236 plus Virginia tax(or your state's tax) plus tags, registration. $500 refundable deposit put on my charge card, ten minute phone call. I even came back to area Virginia dealers and Koons Honda in Manassas with this information and they all said they could not touch the Maryland prices. Comparable savings on other CRV models of your choice also.

The only drawback, to get the color I wanted I had to order the car but CRV's are now being made in this country and you will see many more on the lots soon. Mine will be delivered the first week of June, from the USA. I figured I could wait six weeks to get the color I wanted and save $1359.00 off the MSRP. Good luck!, but all you need is a ten minute phone call to the Internet sales manager.

Okay, I'm curious, or just plain nosy, to know your final price for the vehicle. I paid $24, 340.00 for my CR-V EX-L
$26,586 total... tax, dealer fees, etc. I bought a white one, and you're right, it was pretty hard to find unless I was willing to drive. I'm just wondering how much I could've saved by making that trek to Orlando.

I've been scouring these boards and think I have a good deal in hand. I'd like to hear opinions of others before I sign on the dotted line.

2007 CR-V EX, 4WD cloth interior, no other options. Haven't even discussed trade in or financing yet. Best prices quoted so far are $23,250 and $23,500 (highest are $24,449 and $24, 395)which include destination charges and exclude Tax, Title and License. Neither dealer is particularly convenient to me but I'll put up with it.

Can I do better or should I go for it?
