I guess I might be in the same boat. I too put my $500 down on a red EX-L 2WD at Honda of Ft. Myers. My salesman told me Dec. 19 that it might take a couple of weeks to find one. Now he says there are none to be found even arriving into California?? Meanwhile I let my son take my 1999 VW Passat Wagon back to FSU with him and we are down to one vehicle, a monster Tundra I hate driving. I tried to buy a red RAV-4 last year through CarsDirect and they finally gave up because when they would find one the dealer would sell it out from under them. This year maybe it is the CRV since it is a new model. I was never happy with that tire and side opening door so I do prefer the CRV except no V6 available. Germain had four or five EX-L's but when I told them what I was paying at Ft. Myers they never even bothered to call me back. Good Luck.

Phisher,
Which dealers in the twin cities have navigation EX's in stock? I have given up believing inventories. Many times I asked for a quote with a stock #, but was told that does not exist and inventory is not updated. Some of those very vehicles are still showing in-stock.

Well, I have been watching the auto show on TV and listening in to the talk of Ford and GM CEOs. Not a word on Quality or reliability. All about exciting the customers with new innovative products! I have been royally screwed spending $300 a month on repairs, from the time my Ford Focus odometer was in the 30ks and now it is in the 60ks and I am getting rid of it! Piece of junk. I feel terrible seeing US auto manufacturing going this way. Even in the hybrid area they lagged and bragged about how the time is not right. Now they are buying technology from Japan and putting it in their cars. I don't know how can such dumb guys be put in charge of this large corporations. I could see this coming and the pity is that they don't still get it! Neither do the Wall street journalists, who never ask a question about Reliability or Quality.

I bought my car a month ago and it's still on the dealer's website.

I found one at another dealership!!! NOT Germain, LOL, their prices are outrageous.

I called 15-20 dealerships late yesterday. All would be thrilled to take a $500 deposit and "find one" for you. But no guarantees on when - could be 6 weeks, could be April or May.

So I just signed a contract and put another $500 down. It's supposed to arrive this weekend. Needless to say, I am skeptical yet hopeful.... will post my success after it happens. Meanwhile I'll keep driving my trusty "Little Green" and sure won't sell her until a new one is in the garage.

Now, I sure hope Ft Myers gives me back my $500 since they sold my car out from under me. I'll keep you posted. Fingers crossed, I sure hope Ft Myers actually gets a red one for you.

even though it is not listed on their website, i'm sure you can get it through www.handaaccessories.com. just use their live chat feature or call or email them. since they are the parts department for carmichael honda, they can probably get just about anything.

I checked Hopkins and Burkle. The online inventory may be off but they do have 07's I drove buy Burkle lot and the 07's were right up front. If you go to either dealership Look on there back lot. Thats where they put most of the new cars right off the trucks with the wrap still on.

#4139 of 12328 Do Not Buy from Russell Smith Honda by pmanuel

Do not buy from Russell Smith Honda. I put down $500 and special ordered a 4WD EX-L with Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™ Automatic Transmission. The special ordered a 2WD instead and were unapologetic and refused to either get me one I ordered from another dealership or provide me with a loner car (since I sold my car) until a new one comes in.

Russell Smith Honda uses unfair business practices!!!!
