The financing was for 48 months. I see what you're saying...

I am looking into a credit union...I have already checked out a bank and their interest rates are pretty high. My credit it really good...I checked it out online last night. I have no idea about my income to debt ratio...my credit report says my score isn't as high as it could be b/c I don't HAVE enough debt.

I'm going to do a little more research...and wait a few weeks before making any decisions.

Internet deals by hi321

How do you deal with the internet saleperson at a dealership? I noticed that there are people in this forum who suggest it to get a good deal...are you talking about just emailing the dealership for a quote? What about carsdirect.com? Can you use their quote at a dealership?

Thanks in advance!

Let me tell you....if you are willing to drive, Paramus Honda is the best with the best deals. I purchased a Honda Civic Si way below cost. The best time to purchase Hondas is in September when they want to move the cars for the next year models. You won't go wrong with Paramus Honda. They are probably the largest tri-state dealer and so they inturn get the best deals.
Hope this helps someone out there!

buying experience: 4WD AT EX in San Francisco bay area by petewho

I picked up a 4WD AT EX over the holiday sale at Honda of Stevens Creek in the San Jose/Santa Clara area for $21,000 + tax & tags. Got the color I wanted with no add-on options, so it worked out pretty good for me. Not sure if that price was due to holiday sale kickbacks or not. I got 5.99% but I wasn't really thinking about financing as I paid more than half of it down. Pretty good dealer, not too slimy and didn't try too hard to shaft me.

In what part of the country are you? I will take your price to the dealers, it's very good.

Did they charge a documentation fee? If so, what was the cost?

Bought an SE tonight at Schaumburg Honda. I called into the Internet Sales Department this afternoon. I told him I would make the drive and close the deal tonight if the price was right. (It was the end date for their cash to dealer incintives...but who knows...sometimes they extend...I have been researching cars to death for the past several months) I asked for his bottom line price. He gave me some numbers which were higher than I got earlier in the day from another dealership (but $900 less than from another dealership that I received a quote from on 7/3). I told him those numbers, and he matched them and threw in wheel locks, cargo cover, mud flaps. I felt that I was treated very well, they didn't hassle me when I got there about add ons, the finance dept was quick, and I left feeling like I got a good deal. Thanks for all of the input and posts.
