Replying to: jimbres (Sep 28, 2005 4:52 am) have you searched in PA also? I live close to West Chester (Philly suburbs), and my MT was not ordered - Scott Honda is a fairly large dealer.

Replying to: researcher3 (Sep 28, 2005 5:10 pm) I am working with the dealer in NJ fo my 06 SE and he finally got VIN and will be in the lot soon. If you have to buy SE NOW, your best bet is Fair Honda in Danbury. See 2577 Mr.jmcmoore explained well. The lowest the dealers can go now is about $24500.(Invoice is 24060) If you do not need to get the vehicle right now, wait 1-2 months for price drop. The dealers in tri state area are taking delivery now but not too many yet.I think they get 2-3 SE per delivery.(Most of them are from Japan for now) Email me if you need to find out who is offering 24.5K.

Replying to: zakiman (Sep 27, 2005 10:50 am) I am in the DC area as well. We are buying a CR-V because of previous experience with Hondas & our local dealer. We would have also considered the RAV-4, but we like the room of the Honda. Also, I believe that the window in the rear door of the RAV-4 is fixed, which limits access. We really didn't consider safety & gas mileage as our top priorities, but we believe that the CR-V will be quite acceptable in those areas. We didn't need the bells & whistles either, so the LX (AWD, auto) fit the bill for us. We're buying at Herson's Honda in Rockville, MD. |

Went to the dealer over the week-end looking for an 05 CR-V SE, but they said the 05's are gone, only thing left is the 06. Test drove the 06, and the wife and kids were very happy with it. We started talking price and the salesperson claims that the 06 sells for or close to sticker price ( $26000). I gave him a hand shake and said bye bye...Do they think I am naive enough to buy a car I went to another dealer and they said that they can work with me on the price , but also mentioned that if they get the car from another place locally , they will charge me a $515 for something called 'reconditioning'. This reconditioning includes the following: Inspect the car, 4 wheel locks, 4 mud-guards, the strip that they put on the door ....) Is this legitimate or is it one of those $$ tricks some dealers like to play ? I bought a Honda 3 yrs ago and had the mudguards, wheel locks and the stripping done for a $100 . Sure times have changed.... Thanks for any comments or suggestions
