Hardly worth the trouble and shipping expense. What if the car has damage when it arrives etc.

For the life of me, I just can't understand why a dealer would sell a great, fast moving, popular car for invoice. I'm from So. Calif and I know it's a cutthroat market. Just be careful to watch for the other ways they have of making a profit on the deal. Holdback doesn't begin to cover flooring and advertising so don't think that's bottom line profit. far from it.

I got my 2005 EX automatic for $22685 (plus tax and license) at Burien Honda in late 04. Straight talking dealer and they offered the most for my trade to boot. Only downside is that that they are small, so inventory is less than the larger stores. Luckily, they had the model and color I wanted. Isell's dealership (Honda Auto Center) is the biggest volume in the area, and worth checking out, though I am not convinced that the bigger dealers offer any better deals. I have purchased from them in the past and was satisfied. Other dealers that I walked out on were Honda of Seattle (nice, but lowballed my trade), and Lynnwood Honda (never felt comfortable with them).

You can get a great deal in CA, as I shopped in the San Jose area to get an idea of how much more the Seattle CRV market was. I bet you could save $800-$1000 over Seattle prices, but the hassle factor was not worth it for me, as I had a trade-in which could not be appraised over the phone. If I were just buying new with no trade, I'd seriously consider it...email the internet sales dept at Capitol Honda in SJ, Honda of Stevens Creek in SJ and Autowest Honda in Fremont and see if the savings is worth it. Be advised that the CRV appears afflicted with occasional cases of "pull to the right" which you can only know when you drive the actual one you are buying, so don't commit to buying anything without a final test drive clause...i.e. buy from a dealer that has several of the one you want, so you can select another if "yours" has PTTR. Good luck.

LX AWD-good buy and good experience by rhodyv

I have a 2 week old LX AWD. Got for $300 over invoice as a "no haggle" offer referred through triple-A. Added top of line lo-jack for just over $500; no other accessories.no preparation or documentation fees except $100 for routine DMV transactions.

This was at Majestic Honda in Warwick, RI. I also bought a Civic from them awhile back, and will go there when I need my Odyssey replaced in a couple years.

Very friendly, absolutely NO BS , very responsive. Actually a pleasureful experience for a guy who totally hates shopping for anything, let alone a biggie like a car. Perhaps I could have raised my blood pressure and stomach acid haggling away a couple hundred more over a month somewhere else, but why bother?

BTW, love the car!

I picked up my CR-V with the plates on. It depends on how you paid for it when you get your title. Did you purchase with cash?

If you have a lien on the car, that has to be recorded on the title... That usually takes a little longer.. In my state, an extra couple of weeks.

I'm sure it varies state to state, county to county... I'd give it another couple of weeks...
