You are in the Prices Paid - Buying & Leasing Experiences
What is this discussion about?
Honda CR-V, Wagon, SUV
Aug 18, 2010 (10:54 am)
I have been receiving several price quotes from dealers for a 2010 black Honda CRV EX-L 4 cyclinder 4 wheel drive ranging from $26200 to $27000. I got 3 different quotes from 3 different salesmen belonging to the same dealer; $27000, $26300, $26200.
I live in Erie PA and am planning on going to Cleveland Heights to buy my car since the local dealers in Erie PA did not give me a good quote. Anyone out there have recent experience buying a similar car or any suggestions on how much room I have for negotiation?
Any help would be appreciated! This is my first time buying/negotiating on a new car.

If you are driving to Cleveland, try Rick Case Honda in Euclid. I just leased a 2010 EX 2WD and the price they gave me was way below everyone else. I emailed them the vehicle I was looking for and did all the negotiating thru email and over the phone. Just went in, test drove and signed the paperwork, no problems.

Just got a quote from Open Road in Edison, NJ of $27,720 plus tax, tags and doc fee. 4wd EX with nav. Seems like an excellent deal
#10109 of 13050 Thoughts on price for a 2004 CRV EX

I was wondering what people thought would be a good deal for a 2004 EX with 70k on it and new tires and a new battery and exterior and interior what I would consider good condition. I have checked edmunds and KBB but I was curious what anyone here thought.
Appreciate any help

FYI. Honda has announced to our dealership that they will no longer allow dealers to post pricing on ZAG sites (Amex, AAA, Overstock, AOL, truecar, driveyourdream, USAA). They will only show the invoice price.
Than you will have to contact your dealer to see what they are willing to discount from that invoice.
I guess corporate is afraid of posting all these extremely low prices on line that it may hurt residual values.
Of course any Internet Manager can email you or call you with a price. Honda simply doesn't want them posted online.
It's not neccesarily a bad thing. It simply will help the resale of Your Honda!
at least that's what they've told us here. I work at one of the Largest Volume Honda Stores in the Eastern Seaboard.

I just bought my very first Honda, my very first CR-V, and my very first SUV. I've wanted a Honda CR-V for about 8 years. My 1997 Ford Escort just cracked its engine block a few weeks ago and I knew I'd only get a couple of weeks more out of it.
I was planning to buy the CR-V next March, but circumstances forced my hand early. I pick it up on Monday night. Took them a week to get my color, in fact, no dealers in a 50 mile radius had the car I wanted.
I bought the CR-V EX AWD in Tango Red Pearl. Saw it in a parking lot a few months ago and fell in love with the color since they don't make the Green Tea anymore.
Anyway, after reading here and looking at Edmunds and CR, I got it for 23,850 (includes destination). My target price was $23,680 and I almost made it. If my Escort hadn't died on Tuesday, I probably could have wrangled a bit more, but I'm satisfied with that price. I live in Eastern PA.

That's a very good price. So the base price included the dealer adds? What adds were already installed?
