The American Express through ZAG gave me the exact same price as truecar.com. It even looked the same with the exact same format. Overstock had the same format too but today overstock said there weren't any cars in my zipcode area.
I already bought a 2010 CRV EX 4WD last Friday. I was just trying to help the person who was thinking about an '09 fleet car.
Thanks for the link...it's another resource people can use to research a good price!

The dealer (Fletcher Jones Honda, Chicago) asked for $30,178 and he accepted my offer of $30,000 immediately OTD for 2010 CR-V EX-L 4WD with navigation. I live in a small town and the lowest quote I had was $30,895 OTD. So I thought $30,000 would be a good deal.
I think in big cities, a dealer can give you a better deal because of volume sale. I feel the dealer would have accepted even slightly lower than $30,000 if I had negotiated.
Good luck in your purchasing.

crvdude, I just hope your small town Honda dealer stays in business while losing sales to the big city dealers. Because of beating up the small town dealers over a couple of hundred bucks a lot of them are dropping the niche brands and only sell the Big Four cars or if all they have is Honda, they are shutting their doors. It happened to us here in a rural town. had to get rid of the Honda or drive 90 miles for warranty service. Always had to wait for parts from the big city dealers. At this rate all that will be left are the megadealers that can afford to give their cars away because they know that they will get your service business. But, I guess that is the free market.

I have been receiving several price quotes from dealers for a 2010 black Honda CRV EX-L 4 cyclinder 4 wheel drive ranging from $26200 to $27000. I got 3 different quotes from 3 different salesmen belonging to the same dealer; $27000, $26300, $26200.
I live in Erie PA and am planning on going to Cleveland Heights to buy my car since the local dealers in Erie PA did not give me a good quote. Anyone out there have recent experience buying a similar car or any suggestions on how much room I have for negotiation?
Any help would be appreciated! This is my first time buying/negotiating on a new car.

If you are driving to Cleveland, try Rick Case Honda in Euclid. I just leased a 2010 EX 2WD and the price they gave me was way below everyone else. I emailed them the vehicle I was looking for and did all the negotiating thru email and over the phone. Just went in, test drove and signed the paperwork, no problems.
