I have a 2005 Kia Sorento EX I recently purchased the vechile with 6800 miles on dealer demo. During the Purchase they told be the vechile had a sticky ignition switch with the key. On certain time after you put the vechile in park and turn off the key the key only will stop a the accessory position you cannot turn the key complete off or remove it.

not being able to remove the key from the ignition....there was the service bulliten on this about enlarging the adjustment slot for the shifter cable, you can replace all the key switches in the world and it will not fix the problem, why don't kia service depts read their own service bullitens |

I hadn't heard about a problem with the crankshaft pulley until a bolt on mine broke, and I found this site. First indication of a problem was the battery and brake light coming on, on the dash, when the the AC was turned on. Turn off the AC, the lights went out. By the time I got home the power steering would periodically fail, and I just made it into the driveway. Had it towed to dealer. The fix was to replace the entire motor, as it appears that the entire valve train was affected by the failure of the bolt. My 2005 KIA Sorento only has 15000 miles on it.
