Since you can't wax them I wonder if they become dull or discolored after a while. Also, it you ever remove them, the color underneath I would think would be different than the rest of the car. Although the protection from rock chips would be good, I just use touch-up paint.
Good luck with the 528. What color did you get?

BMW has a 7-year model life, therefore, the new 5-series should be introduced as a 2011 model, as the current one was introduced as 2004 model. In Germany they come one year earlier, thus 2010 would be correct over there, however, the US has been getting it one year later. Currently, the new 5-series are being introduced in February, which makes the 2009 5-series already available while the 2010 should be out in Feb 2009, which is not that too far away.

I just ordered a 535xi 2009 with a manual 6 speed transmission
36 months, taxes upfront, 1st month, MV....$766 per month.
prem, cold, ipod, PDC, Sat radio, fold down seats...I FORGOT TO MENTION NAVIGATION ALSO.
I thought about the new A4 Audi, but the manual will not be out for several months at the earliest... and after test driving the automatic version, the 535xi 300HP twin turbo with a stick is just explosive...I have yet to drive anything like this sedan w/ a manual in this category....

I have been driving BMW's for over 20 years...I will never go back to rear wheel drive again.....even if the performance takes a "hit" with the xi system. This is still a great driving car...and if I want the performance of a BMW then this will be perfect for me....and BTW...I currently drive a 2005 x5 w/ a manual 6 speed ...what an experience!....however I am ready for a change...this should be fun!
Any other thoughts???

I was just veing nosy. Good luck with your car. anything BMW builds with a 35 as the last 2 numbers before the letters accelerates phenomenally. Pretty much every E60 I see on the road is an Xi. What region of the country are you in? What made you believe in AWD so much that you switched from RWD?

did you get this deal in Southern California? I've gotten a few quotes but they don't seem to be giving me the full premium credit.
any advice?
