Got the following lease offer from my local dealership: 2008 535i - Sport, premium, nav, logic7 & iPod 36 mo / 10k per year MSRP - $58,075 Selling Price - $56,575 ($1500 off MSRP) Down payment - $500 + TT&L Payment - $874/mo. MF - 0.00305 Two questions: 1. Should they be able to get closer to invoice on the selling price? 2. Should I be able to get the MF to the base + security deposit waiver rate of 0.00265? |

I looked at a very similar car and they were willing to take $2200 off the sticker price of $58,700. Before I purchased the car someone on the lot told me I should look into the run flat tires especially on the low profile sport package. Several posts on edmunds and other forums indicate serious issues with cupping under 7-10k and excess wear under 10k. The tires are ~400$ a pop and are not covered. Not sure if the problem is that prevelant; the car looks incedible.

| I am looking at buying a 535i (for a number or reasons, leasing is not a good option for me). I am in central Texas. Does anyone have a recent experience buying a 2008 535i in San Antonio/Austin/Houston/DFW. I am curious what discount off list folks are getting. | |
