THINK I'M BUYING A 02 530i TOMORROW by bumrover

Found a black on black 530 with premium and sports package, zennon lights, tiptronic, bla bla bla... but I've been looking and totally dig this ride. The price is $25,000 with 54,000 miles and I'm told no accidents and it appears puurrrfect! For me anyway, I will be giving away my 2001 Range Rover 4.6 HSE black/black, navigation bla bla... with 73,000 for a trade of $16,000 any one?

But back to my 530, can I go to a BMW dealership and buy an extended warranty for a 02 with 54,000 on it? Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks

No, you can only buy ext. warranty if you are the original owner and if the car is still under warranty at this time. In your case, even if the seller is the original owner, the car is out of original warranty. Therefore, it's impossible to buy ext. warranty or ext. maintenance.
BTW, I have been looking for E39 530 for a while, too. With the special finance rate and first two payments from BMW, you should be able to get a 2003 CPO with similar option and milage and that price.
I am not sure which area are you at, but in SF bay area, here are a few good deals (all CPO) I have seen:
1. 2003 530i, premium and sports, 33K mile, MANUAL, aksing for $26,995 - This is by far the best deal but I can't have a manual, bummer.
2. 2003 530i, premium & sports, 48K miles, asking $28,995
3. 2002 530i, premium & sports, 51K mile, asking $27,777. - This one does not qualify for the special financing.

Hope this helps.

Hello all, I'm new to the forums.

I'm considering to lease a '06/'07 530i very soon as my first lease (read up the basics at LeaseGuide.com) and would like to know where you got this information from/do you have a link to a site by any chance?

24 mo/15k mi – Residual Value 70% of MSRP – .00200 Base Money Factor Rate
36 mo/15k mi – Residual Value 60% of MSRP – .00200 Base Money Factor Rate

Add 2% for 12K miles per year.

Or could you provide me the numbers I should expect form BMWFS for a 36 month/15k mi lease on a 530i? Thanks.

Where did you see the 530i manual for $26,995. I'm in the Bay Area and have just started looking. That sounds like a great deal.

Thanks

StevenCreek BMW. It was marked for $35K for a while, then all of a sudden, came down to $26,995. I believed it was sold in a few days once they brought down the price.

First time BMW (potential) owner. Trying to lease a 06 525xi. Here are the specs:
Black on Black
Premium
Nav
Cold weather package
Automatic

MSRP : 51220
DP : 47500

With the new April lease rates : 0.0016 for 36 months/10k
The final price is 560/month plus tax.

Is this a good deal ? I am not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question or should I post under the lease section ?

Thanks
