Replying to: jfirb (Jul 05, 2005 7:28 am) I ordered my 530xi on May 17 and expect to take delivery sometime this week. The car has made it to the US and is now in New York. It is nice to be able to track the order on-line. Good luck!

Hi, I just started my quest to become a first time BMW owner. I am looking to lease a 530i (3yr/12k). MSRP incl. options (premium package, 6 speed automatic), excluding destination charge is $49,575. Invoice is $45,415. From the forum postings over the past month or so, it looks like I should be able to get $1500 over invoice. I haven't seen any recent postings on the current money factor rate. The best information I can find is a money factor of .00195, which is an interest rate of a little over 4.5%. This would take me to $665/mo (incl. taxes), and about $2100 down (incl. 1st month, security deposit of $750, destination charge of $695). Is that the best I should be able to get? I am in Northern NJ - any pointers on flexible dealerships is always welcome!

Replying to: ehnj (Jul 06, 2005 5:31 pm) 2) The residual for 3yr/36K is 62%.. the MF is .00195 I wonder a little bit about your numbers.. because I think you are confusing the destination charge with the acquisition fee.. Destination charges are generally not broken out from the price of the car, for pricing a lease.. or paid separately.. Anyway, using my adjusted MSRP and invoice including destination... With a cap cost of $1500 over invoice, the payment would be $611/mo. + tax.. with due at signing: 1st payment ($660 or so, incl.tax), security deposit ($700), acquisition fee ($625) .. title and license.. Probably $2200 or so total.... A pretty good deal for a $50K car that just came out.. All dependent on you getting $1500 over invoice and a dealer that will use the base rates, of course.. regards, kyfdx

Replying to: kyfdx (Jul 08, 2005 8:10 am) MSRP: $51,020 Invoice : $46795 Cap cost: $48750 Residual is 62% MF is .00175 if I put a deposit down, .00195 without deposit Payment came to: $616 + tax w/ $2533 down Downpayment: 1st month payment $825 Bank Fee $250.5 Registration for 3 yrs $7.5 tire tax $700 deposit I mentionned to him that the bank fee should only be $625, but he said that only applies to returning BMW owners. I am sure I can work that down. I am at $1955 over invoice now, so I'll try to get to $1500 over invoice.

Well, I leased my first BMW and I thought I'd check to see what you all thought of the 3 year deal. MSRP: $46,520.00 Invoice : $42,880.00 (auto with premium and cold weather pkgs) - my notes showed it should be $42,550.00. Gross Cap cost: $44,705.00 ($43,880.00 and the $825 acquisition fee) Residual value $29,307.60 (10,000 miles/year) MF is .00240 (nothing down) Down payment was $1,361.66 (first month's rent, $70 doc and title fee, and $650 security deposit). There was no trade-in (I'll sell my 2001 525ia myself) Payment came to: $605.34 plus tax |
