Stoley:

It will depend on if your dealer had one ready to be built that they could change to your specifications.

I ordered mine on December 11th and it was at the dealer for delivery (in NJ) on February 3rd. Just shy of 8 weeks. Once it went into build status it was about 6-7 weeks from that point. So figure 6-7 weeks from the build date.

Hope that helps.

I ordered mine December 15 and it came yesterday. Not bad. I would however make sure you order the ones with the new engines that should be in production in March.

Looking at the '05 530 but rumors of a 535 make me think it will be worth the wait. (for anyone interested, tested the new A6...not impressed, not too quick, unresponsive, and they ALL, for some reason, have extremely slow rolling front windows...definite pet peeve as time goes on.) Anyway, can anyone confirm if/when the 535 is coming out??? Thanks in advance.

So when are they rolling that out? End of summer? I'll be damned if I'm gonna get an underpowered 530 in april just to see the upgrade come out 90 days later.

kydfx, and others:

i have no clue how to go about finding out what a dealer paid for a trade-in of a 2001 530i, and what i should offer. the car has low miles, has premium/sport, and the dealer is doing the certified pre-owned.

would appreciate anyone's input!!!

thanks,

escofi,

Most dealers give wholesale Blue Book on trade-ins. In a lot of cases, they even subtract for the cost of new tires, brakes, et cetera.

Go to www.edmunds.com and www.kbb.com and they will have the info that you want. They indicate prices for Trade-in, Private Party Sale and Dealer Sale.
