Replying to: blueguydotcom (Jan 25, 2009 10:14 am) 2008 335i sedan: MSRP (44650) Total Discount: 7000 Cap cost: 37650 Cash Down: 0 Residual value: 60% (36 month lease with 10k miles) MF factor: 0.00085 Reduced MF factor: 0.00040 (due to 8 MSDs I will make) which I think is the lowest possible Sales tax: 7% Monthly Payment: $377 per month incld tax (this is what i calculated) Upfront payment: 8MSD of 400 (3200) + 725 (bank fees) + 100( doc fees) + 250 (registration) = $4275. This is all my calculation. Please tell me if this is a good deal or not? Is there anything I am missing here? I plan to close it tomorrow!! Many thanks in advance. Deep

| More like asking prices... My family and I attended a small car show at a local community college where dealerships from the area bring cars. The BMW dealer had an E92 M3 Coupe, Black/Black with an MSRP of $75,000! 10 years ago an E36 M3 could be had with an MSRP in the low $40K range! | |

I just purchased a 2007 328i Montego Blue/Black interior with Navigation, Premium package and 23,000 miles (CPO also) for $24,991 (looks just like new inside and out). Seems almost too good to be true. Makes me think they are desperate to sell this car. Carfax checks out great but there were a lot of service visits (13 during 2 years) during the lease for unspecified reasons. Did I make a mistake? I do have warranty for another 75K + yrs. Any thoughts?

This is the deal I got on a 2009 335i Coupe for 3 years with 12k miles per year: Blue Water / Beige Premium, Sport, Automatic, Satellite Radio, iPod Adapter, Smartphone Integration, Steering wheel with paddle shifters. When configured on edmunds: Edmunds MSRP: $50,345 Edmunds Invoice: $46,360 However, Edmunds base prices have $200 extra on them that wasn't on my sticker. Sticker MSRP: 50,145 Negotiated Value: $46,156 Acquisition Fee: $725 Dealer Fee: $689 Capital Cost Reduction: $2650 (I put $1150 down, and $1500 came from stimulus.) Adjusted Cap Cost: 44,920 Residual Value: 29,585 (59%) Money Factor: .00205 Monthly Payment: 578.68 + 37.61 tax = 616.29 At this point I put 5 security deposits, 1 of them required to get the original .00205, and the other 4 reducing the money factor down to: 4 x .00007 = .00028 New money factor: .00205 - .00028 = .00177 Final Monthly Payment: 557.83 + 36.26 = 594.09 Out of Pocket: $1150 down payment 5 x 600 refundable security deposits = $3000 First Monthly Payment: 594.09 License Fees: 28.06 Sales Use/ Tax: 12.71 Sales Tax on $1000 cap reduc: 172.25 Florida Fees: 66.50 Tag Agency: 129.00 Total Out of Pocket 2152.61 + 3000 refundable = $5152.61 This was in South Florida. After the crazy negotiations between 4 dealerships (pitting them all against eachother), I got a deal that I'm very happy with. I hope this helps someone get a great deal. |
