Replying to: hemanthh (Jan 05, 2009 11:31 am) They have to replace two tires in the back and I found out that they are replacing them with the run flat Bridgestone. I have requested them to put in the Continental run flat instead but they refuse. After hearing all the problems with the run flat, I am a bit worried about the ride. Anybody knows if the "new" Bridgestones have been improved or I should just wait and changed them all to Continental after a few months? thanks for your input. |

I imagnined it to be larger screen and interated into the dash, but turns out the BMW nav is a small screen monted on top of the dash. It has blue tooth, mp3, traffic feed ability, etc. but I dont need any of that. BMW site says, the nav costs 600+200 installed. The sales guy said it costs 900. Worthless if you ask me. (Curious to see what others think about this) I asked for them to take back the nav and give me ipod and something else even for 600 worth! I will keep the run flats until warranty is over I suppose. I bought warraty for tire and rim btw for 899.

I can just load as many songs in the ipod as it can take and leave it in the car. Mind you, the ipod control, as far as I know, is not perfect. it does not display the name of the songs and stuff like that, just allowing you to control it from the steering wheel. BTW, I asked about the wheel and tire protection, it is 1500 here, how long is your wheel warranty? I would get rid of the navigation, get yourself a nice portable one for much less money

'09 328i monaco blue black interior navigation auto trans premium package xenon ipod wheel locks MSRP: $43130 Got it for $40110 + free rubber mats (90) Also bought tire insurance for 700. it replaces the entire tire with any kind of damages (nails, scratches etc) for 5 years even at my fault. But after reading things about the run flat tires, mayb I shouldn't have bought it... People on the forum said I could go down more, but I didn't really have anymore time to negotiate more because I needed the car. Got the car with .9% financing. |
