In NY/CT, relatively new to leasing so still reading up on things like reducing the MF with MSDs, etc. Curious what lease deals you guys have got recently on 328i Convertibles and how to decide/evaluate 'how good' the deal is. I know the Boston papers have the following: * 328i Convertible: $368/month with $3,800 down * 528Xi: $378/month with $3,800 down Though the ad said "nicely equipped" I called to find out they are base models with stick shift (stick is fine, btw). They also said the various fees would run to around $1,100-$1,500 *All leases 24 months, 10,000 miles per year with $3,800 down as cap cost reduction, plus all start up fees and taxes including 1st payment, security deposit, bank fee, documentation and registration fees. Some in stock vehicles may contain additional equipment at additional cost. Quantities are limited. Geographic restrictions apply. Pictures are for illustration purposes only. Prices subject to change in accordance with BMW factory programs. See dealer for details. |

| Anyone gotten a better deal via placing an order as opposed to negiotiating for one on the lot? I would assume the dealer expense is lower for an order as they would carry little to no loan expense. | |

Is anybody seeing the effect of this on buyers bargaining position yet ? Link to news report Cheers, Marcus |

Just wanted to thank many on this board. I have not posted often but I had been reviewing and researching the 335i Sedan for a while. I ended up getting what think is a pretty good deal. 2007 335i Sedan Sparking Graphite/Gray Leather Sport/Prem/Ipod/Sat Yes, I found a leftover 07 at Fields Daytona (Salesman was great). They sold it for $41,500. It had 250 miles on it. So it had been driven around. But Iooked it over and it looked quite pristine. I realize I took some risk with people beating on it during the breakin. MSRP on this was roughtly $46,7000 and Invoice I believe was about $44,000. I am very happy with the car. I actually had put a down payment on a fullly loaded Graphite g35 (I just sold my 2003 G35). I ended up getting the deposit back and going with the bimmer. I have no regrets.
