I am looking at a 2008 335xi, msrp is 48,750 and the dealer is saying 47,700 and he will throw in the car mats and a full tank of gas. Edmunds tmv is 47,708 and invoice is 44,890. What do you think??

With current inventory being high and 2009 right around the corner, I'd be shooting for 46,500....

Press down harder. The 06 e90 had a newer style of turn signal - a light tap will trigger 1 to 3 flashes (customizable in the On Board Computer). A hard press makes the turn signal stay on. Read the manual for your car.

Hello All,

I have always wanted to drive a BMW and I think now I am ready to take this step.
I live in Metro Boston area and below is the deal I got after a lot of negotiations, mostly through emails. And I must thank for all the great information I got from you all.

2008 328xi coup 6-speed
Montego Blue
Nav
Ipod
Bluetooth
Cold weather package ( since I live in Boston)

Lease for 3 years 12K miles per year

MSRP : $42,200.00
Negotiated Price: $39,685 ( approx $800 over invoice)
Money factor: 0.00200
Out of Pocket: $4000.00 (total)
Acquisition Fee: $625.00 ( dealer quoted 825 and thanks to you all I knew better)
Security Deposit: $450.00
Disposition Fee: $350.00
Net Cap cost:$35,685.00
Residual %:60
Residual Amount: $25,320
Depreciation Fee: $287.92
Finance Fee:$122.01
Monthly Lease Payment(sales tax not included) : $409.93
Total monthly payment: $430.42

Also, since now one had the stick shift that i wanted with the above options they have to factory order it.
I am also planning to pay the 7 multiple security deposits which will bring down my MF to 0.00151 and finance fee per month to $92.12

What you guys think about the deal? I would like to sign the papers today so that I can start my countdown.

Any comments will be appreciated.

Thanks.
PK

actually i know how the turn signal works.my concern is that is the side marker on the fenders (not the head lamps) on all the time or just on for turn signal.

You state that money out of pocket is $4000 total. However, the depreciation fee and finance fee you were quoted is based upon $4000 off of your cap cost. $39,685 - $4000 = $35,685. Subtract the res. value (25,320) for $10365. Divided by 36 months is $287.91. $35,685 + $25,320(residual) x money factor .00200 is $122. When you go to pick up the car, they have you believing that you will only need a check for $4000. But the figures you were quoted were based on the whole $4000 going to reduce the cap cost. You will then have to come up with your first months pymt, aquisition fee, security deposit, doc fees, etc.. in addition to that $4000. Also, residuals for the 328xi coupe are 60% on a 15K/year lease. I believe the residuals for 12K/year are 61%. Let me know how you make out.

Decison time - BMW 335XI vs Infiniti G35xS by shawn22

Ive narrowed down my search to 2 and will be test driving both the 335xi and G35xS this weekend and making my decision..

Price difference aside (Which is about 10K). Has anyone had a chance to drive both and can you give some quick comparo's between the two?

Also.....would dealers consider swapping out the runflats on the Bimmer for regular all-seasons during the bargaining process? (I live in Wisconsin). - Thanks!

I ahve not driven the AWD versions of the two cars but have driven both. My first impression of the Infinity was that the interior had a "cheap" plastic look to it. Although the car drove well, it was signigicantly louder then the BMW. In the end, like the way the 335 drove better - felt more connected to the road.

> I love the cover plate that is part of the BMW/Garmin kit; it hides the charger-mount so neatly.< I must have the worst karma -- in the process of installing the Garmin/BMW hardwire kit, the "professional installer" managed to lose the mount cover plate (which was a major factor for me buying the kit in the first place). Anyone out there willing to part with their "mount cover?" It would be greatly appreciated (even monetarily). Thanks in advance to anyone who can come to my rescue.
