Yes, i locked in the current rate, you do that when BMWFS approves the lease. If the rates happen to improve, i can reconfigure them down, up to a few weeks before delivery. I don't have a delivery date yet, it'll probably be late feb or early march. There's a bit of a lead time on europena delivery. I'll spend two weeks touring europe, and trying to break in the car so i can open it up on the autobahn.

The residual is right...the MF is a bit higher than I've seen. I was quoted .00165 with no security deposit. If there is a security deposit it would be .0015. And if you add additional security deposits it would keep going down. Can't give an accurate payment estimate without the cap cost of what the car is being "sold" for. Are they rolling the fees into the lease? It seems a bit high since I received an initial quote for a loaded 335i with an MSRP near 48k and the payment including tax was around 600/mo. and the drive off was 2k.

Nice deal... When do you pick up? Worried about icy weather?

I don't have a pickup date yet. Probably late feb/early march.
I'm of the "snow tires and DSC keep you safe, not AWD" crowd. Frankly, based on the number of AWD vehicles i see off the road in bad weather, i could conclude that it's bad for icy conditions.

My inquiry was due to you picking it up in Germany in February... What about snow tires, then? Assuming you have the sport package..
I'm with you on the RWD and snows thing..

Good point. The alps may be off limits, but i don't believe it would be better with AWD and sports tires--i'll stick curves the same. I'll see how conditions are and plan accordingly.

I think I read it at the Bimmerfest forums that German government started legalized winter tire requirement, and that the BMW delivery center will comply with that. I don't remember exactly what they would do, but you may want to check it out.
