Congrats Man. I am sorry that I cannot help in telling you if you got a good deal or not, as I suck with leases. I purchase all my vehicles, as I drive a lot.

As the other response to this thread noted, these are completely different vehicles. The M3 will be a higher maintenence car than a standard 3 series. I was considering a used M3 for a bit before I purchased my 330xi, but in the end it was not too practical for poor New Jersey weather and bad roads (potholes). I do think the e46 M3 is one of the nicest looking cars on the road. A few questions: Will the m3 be a CPO to 100k miles? This is key. How many owners, service records, driven both cars? I initially did not warm up to the 05 e90 facelift, but it grew on me substantially. Now whenever I see an e46, I feel they look somewhat dated. Good luck in whatever you decide, you really can't go wrong with either vehicle.

I don't know where you are located. Some have been offered a 2.9% for 60 month rate from BMW which is obviously great. If they don't give you a good rate from BMW financial, check other credit unions.

The best APR for any CPO BMW is the 2003 5-series at 2.9%.

BTW, why is APR your only criteria?.... Say you were equally happy with a 3-series for $30k and a 7-series for $60k but the 3-series had 4.9% and the 7-series had 3.9%, both for 60 months. The 3-series would have a payment of $564/mo with total interest of $3885 over the 60 months, while the 7-series would have a payment of $1102 with total interest of $6137.....

I'm not sure why the absolute lowest APR is the only criteria. Is it because you've had bad interest rates in the past and want to get a good one this time? Even still, you should also consider other criteria in addition to APR....

I'm about to take the plunge and buy an 330i in the next few weeks (unless there's real news about the coupe release date). Does anyone have recent info on which dealers in the LA area are making the best deals and if they had good/bad experiences? Also, what is the going amount over invoice I should expect these days? Thanks.

1) Residual is 62% of MSRP - non negotiable
2) MF is .00195 - dealer can mark up by .0004
3) $695 - dealer can mark up by $200

Obv, #2 and #3 are negotiable
