Looking to lease a 2006 330i in the Albany, NY area and just received the following quote from a local dealer. From what I have seen on this forum, I believe that the quoted lease terms are competitive, but I am not too sure about the dealer profit factor. Should I be able to find a better deal in this region or is the following truly competitive. Dealer has stated that $1750 over invoice is the best that they will do on a vehicle that must be ordered. I have never leased before, so please let me know what you think. 2006 330i Premium pkg Sport pkg Cold weather pkg Sat Radio Metallic Paint MSRP - $43,165 QUOTE - $41,265 (Invoice + $1750) Lease terms: 36 months/15k miles per yr. MF = 0.00195 Residual = 62% NYS Acq Fee = $825 DMV=$125 Taxes=$1,612.89 NYS Inspec = $16 Dealer Doc. Fee=$45 Tire Disp Fee=$12.50 Security Deposit=$600 Payment = $560.03 (1st due |

South Bay BMW: MSRP: 44,840 Invoice: 41,090 kbb.com MACO: 330 Price: 42,220 ($800 over kbb.com invoice+MACO) It seemed like a decent deal and dealer is close to my house (plus my wife refused to let me shop anymore). I'm not happy about the MACO but there doesn't seem to be much I could do about. We're gonna buy it but it won't be here till May. Salesman said I was too late for Feb build. It's gonna be a long 2-3months BMW 330i Monaco Blue Metallic Interior Options: Gray w/Dakota Leather Upholstery with Burl Walnut Wood Trim Packages/Options: STEPTRONIC Automatic Transmission Premium Package Heated Front Seats Comfort Access On-Board Navigation System w/iDrive Satellite Radio Accessories: Carpeted Floor Mats |

It seems like they are marking up the acquisition fee by $200. They're giving you the base money factor which is good. They should be able to come down on the selling price by AT LEAST $750. You should roll the taxes into your lease payment. Using an 8.25% Sales tax rate rolled into your lease with the $1000 over invoice selling price of the vehicle, I get a payment of $555.56 per month. You pay 1st month, security, acq fee, & various other fees you listed up front.

Replying to: nyccarguy (Feb 20, 2006 7:52 pm) Thanks for your input. The dealer (Keeler BMW) tells me that $1750 over invoice is the best that they will do on a special order car from Germany. I have pushed them for $1000 over invoice but they tell me that they will only do this for inventory that they have on their lot. You mention that it appears that they are inflating the acquisition fee by ~$200. Isn't this a standard rate? Also, the Sales tax in my locale is 7% Any suggestions on other dealers in my region that might offer a better deal?
