Hey Car Man....been watching the boards and was hoping if you could let me know if this is a good lease deal: 2006 325xi Auto Trans Artic Blue Metallic Premium Package Heated Seats Sirius Radio (Installed) The lease is 36 months, 10,000 miles per year. Money factor is 2.9. Residual is 64%. MSRP - $38,720. Selling price (Cap cost) - $37,695. 0 down--$601.87 $1,000 - $568.85 $2000 - $535.85 Are these good payments? They include tax for Colorado at 7.6%. Thanks for your help. Yippeee33

Replying to: yippeee33 (Jan 14, 2006 6:45 pm) I assume by "0 down", you are still paying the first payment, security deposit and title/licensing fees at signing? I'd want at least another $500 off of the MSRP, and for them to use the base money factor (.0025).. Together, that would drop your after-tax payment by about $43/mo.. That would be a good deal... regards, kyfdx Host-Prices Paid Forums

I'm looking at: 2006 325Xi manual, Premium Package, Cold Weather and Metallic Paint which brings it to a MSRP of 37720. The dealer is giving me a $1000 discount. Total initial payment would be $2411 (first month's payment of $564 plus plates plus plus security plus - but no down payment as such). Is $564 a bit too much? I think the MF is 0.0029 - what is a reasonable amount I can negotiate that down to? For a 2003 lease on a very similar vehicle I was able to negotiate the MF down to 0.0019 but that may not work this time around. Please advise. Pavan

I have been researching for a 325 convertible and am still looking for a good deal. I have been in contact with a few dealers and when all is said and done, nearly all talk about $2000 down. When questioned they say that it includes first months payment plus things such as $850 bank fee and $450 dealer fee. Are these negotiable and what are fair negotiated rates for these things? What should I be expected as far as money up front. Thanks

Replying to: pavan (Jan 18, 2006 8:25 am) If they are only giving you a $1000 discount, then it looks like they are using the base money factor.. If they were marking it up to .0029, the payment would be even higher... I would want it to look like this: $37720 MSRP $36220 selling price ($1500 off) $36845 Cap cost (selling price + $625 acq.fee) Money factor .0025 3yr/45K residual 61% Payment = $534/mo.+tax.. Due at signing: 1st payment, security deposit, title/license fees.. Total: about $1400-$1500 I'm not sure how they figure tax in your state, but if they just apply it to the monthly payment, then the total payment would be around $574/mo.. As you can see, this is not far off of your numbers.. Most of the differences can be attributed to the $500 lower selling price that I assumed in my example.. As you can also see.. the lease deals on the 325xi are not all that great right now.. regards, kyfdx Host-Prices Paid Forums |
