Hey All, Sorry to shift gears (pun intended) a bit, but I found the first pic of the next 330Ci Coupe! The article says they aren't 100% sure if it's unaltered, but I'm sure it's not. I've been holding out for the new coupe, but I'm not totally sold on the proportions. I think the sedan may actually look a little better in this case...I guess I'll have to see it in person. For what it's worth, wwww.leftlanenews.com is a great site for some of the most up-to-date automotive info around. Here's the link to the coupe's page...enjoy. http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/01/13/2007-bmw-3-series-coupe-caught-with-no-di- sguise/ GaDawg

Replying to: cure (Jan 03, 2006 2:50 pm) It doesn't look like anyone was willing to answer your question, so I'll try to properly welcome you to the States. While I don't live in Cali, I can tell you that all those taxes sound bogus to me. You should have the sales tax, tag/titling fees and, more than likely, some sort of administrative dealership fee. I've never seen it broken down by business, metro city and local tax...it sounds like their trying to take advantage of you to me. I'm sure there are some folks out here that can answer this much better than I could, particularly those in California. Did you negotiate the cost of the car, or is what they said it'll cost? That processing fee is WAY TOO much IMO! $300 is extreme to say the least. I would go for $100 or so, but I would never pay $300...they might as well call it the rip-off that it is - dealer prep. Hope this helped, if not, ask the forum again and maybe someone out there will step up and help a brother (or sister) out. GaDawg |

Interesting...I was given a quote by a dealer for a 3-year lease on a 325i. I went to the BMW "estimate a payment" web page, and using the down payment as my "negotiated discount" - we agreed on 4% over invoice - I came to within $1 of the price he quoted me. This will be my 3rd BMW I buy from him, and this seems to be a good mechanism to estimate lease payments. Have others found a similar experience?

Replying to: blueguydotcom (Jan 13, 2006 5:15 pm) So, for instance the MSRP for my configuration was $36,620, but the agreed to price was $34,886. I entered in $1734 into the down payment (I am paying $0 down) to reflect the negotiated discount, and got the end number. The lightbulb clicked when my salesperson asked me if I priced it out online yet...and I said I didn't think we could do anything but MSRP...he said 'think about it', and I did, and it worked...within a $. Now I haven't run any other prices against it, but it worked within $1 in this case. Logically it makes sense...I am using the down payment to lower the $$ amount that is financed through the lease. |

A dealer is quoting me the following lease numbers on a 2006 325i (manual, xenon, sparkling graphite paint): 3 year lease at 12K mi. per year. MSRP = $32870 Invoice = $30555 (including $400 MACO) Acq. Fee = $825 Cap. Cost = $31,305 Monthly Payment = $441 + tax = $477 (my tax rate is 8.25%) He said he was using 64% residual, the base BMWFS MF rate and $750 over invoice. Good deal? Thanks.

Replying to: asleepy (Jan 14, 2006 1:20 am) If so, then the numbers are right on the money... The acquisition fee is bumped up by $200, but that still puts you around $1000 over invoice... Not a bad deal with the base money factor.. regards, kyfdx Host-Prices Paid Forums |

Hello kyfdx, Yes, he is rolling the acq. fee into the cap cost. I am aware that he marked up the acq. by $200 but I agreed to that after he agreed to bring the MF back down to base (he originally quoted .0029 as MF). I thought of trying for $500 over invoice but settled on $750 over invoice (not counting the acq. fee). I'm thinking this was a decent deal, not the best one. Thanks for your input. |
