Do dealers get a holdback on 330s? If so, about how much? Thanks. It's important to know when negotiating a deal.

Here is the deal offered to me: 330i SG/Black leather, Step, ZPP, Nav, CA, Sat Radio MSRP: $44,340 Invoice: $40,635 Price Paid: $41,760 Not the best of deals if you are in NY/CA, but pretty good for TX. My question is about leasing: 1.What is the base lease factor and residual for 15K miles? 2.It is my understanding that I can buy additional miles for $0.16/mile anytime up to 6 months before my lease is up. Is this correct? Thanks all for your help. This has been an incredible forum and I am very appreciative for all the valuable information shared here. |

Going to negotiate a 06' 325xi lease (36 mo) this afternoon, and am unable to find the following numbers for my calculations: - Money Factor (What would be reasonable?) - Residual (Current months?) I know BMW has a program for 325xi leases right now, but I want to figure out how negotiable the deal really is. Thanks.

I'm thinking to trade in my 2003 passat (GLX, all-wheel drive, V6) with a 2006 325xi. My car has about 44k miles on it now. I went to a couple BMW dealers in MA and they gave me around 15K. The MSRP of the new 325xi is $36,600. (auto, xenons, heated seats, sat. prep.) One of the dealers gave me $2000 off of the new car and about 16k for my Passat. So basically it's about $1000 over the invoice. Do you think I should go for this deal? Is my car really worth only 16k? Thanks |

Replying to: kyfdx (Dec 30, 2005 10:42 am) A couple more questions: 1. What is the probability of the dealer giving me the base rate? I am getting the old 'Finance Dept has to get paid too' story and they are marking it up by a whole point. 2. What is the residual/MF if I go to 18K miles/year? Thanks again.
