Replying to: jcflorie (Dec 25, 2005 5:23 pm) Lot of great info there. BTW ED invoice on your specs is $35855 including the $695 destination charge. You didn't mention the color though. Add another $430 for metallic paint. $700-$1000 over invoice is a good price.

Hi all. I'm new to the BMW shopping scene, so I'll ask forgiveness in advance if some of this repeated questions. I've been looking at certified used 325i's in the Portland, OR area. One of the local dealerships has some pretty nice looking ones, but the prices seem a little high. I know that the resale on 325i's are supposed to be excellent, but with the 2006's being entirely redesigned, I would have figured the resale value would have been hurt a little. Could someone take a few minutes to look at these offerings and tell me what a reasonable price might be? These prices seem to be atleast 3-5k off base. 2005 325i 18k This one list for the same price it would have cost new, according to edmunds (31-33k) 2004 325i 12k Looks like a nice low-mileage 2004 with alot of options. Price again seems high. 2003 325i 21k Seems like the best deal of the 3, but still seems a little high. Thanks in advance for any help! Chris

Replying to: chris_pdx (Dec 27, 2005 12:04 pm) Remember to factor in the CPO warranty (6 years from original purchase date or 100k miles) as added value, especially considering the dealer paid BMW between $600-$1500 just to get the CPO status. If you are planning on financing, consider the 2003 has 3.9% for up to 60 months through BMWFS. (No special rates for 04 or 05.) Just giving you some food for thought... |

Replying to: bdr127 (Dec 27, 2005 8:09 pm) didn't want to kill it with a no frigging way. let's just say he didn't say my offer was accepted. exact words were the price you offered was not unreasonable, i think we may be able to work something out. i went on their website, dealer down the street, went through their inventory and made an offer - above was the response. not so much a tactic - as the first response in let's make a deal.
