Please tell us the dealership where you've gotten (or seen) the best price on a 2006 330i. That is, how much above invoice (I don't think anyone has gotten invoice or below, but I'd love to find out...) The cheapest TEXAS dealer is Autoplex bmw. I've emailed all of them for a quote on a fully loaded 2006 330i. sport premium, nav comfort access park distance auto This is autoplex bmw's reply: "Thanks for the inquiry. We will discount a vehicle equipped the way you have specified $1000 from the MSRP including the floormats. This vehicle would have to be ordered. Give me a call if you have any additional questions." I was seriously hoping to find a place no more than $500 over invoice. I figure even if it's out of state, then it might be worth the hassle and cost of having it shipped to me. (Hopefully, the dealer will split the cost...)

Replying to: sr4b1 (Oct 23, 2005 11:33 am) Pretty unheard of to get $500 over invoice.... The best people are getting is $1000 over on in-stock cars. For your rare configuration, the dealer is right when they say they'd have to order it.... I can't imagine they'd take a short deal on a loaded, special order car like that, either. |

Replying to: sr4b1 (Oct 23, 2005 11:33 am) Food for thought ..... The average Bimmer dealer sells 50/60 vehicles a month, some a little more, some a little less .. the average Ford store sells 150/200 vehicles a month ..... trying to get $500 over invoice on an 06 that has limited numbers and limited ordering capabilities isn't very attractive to the BMW dealer, it's actually a loser for the store ... but if you look long enough and far enough anything is possible ..... keep in mind, it's a Bimmer - and having the local service manager on your side is always a good thing ........ what price glory...? Replying to: rroyce10 (Oct 24, 2005 5:04 am) I, too, need to order my car- why, I don't know, but I can't seem to find one- nor can my dealer(s). I am fairly particular, so it's not too surprising. '06 330i 6-Speed Premium Sport Arctic w/ either Terra or Beige leather My logic would dictate that a special order car for a customer- money down, financing all set, etc is a no-brainer for the dealer. The damn thing is sold before it even comes off the truck! Why is this scenario less attractive to a dealer- and why would a dealer not "do a little better", knowing it's an easy deal?

Replying to: urnuts (Oct 24, 2005 3:09 pm) Especially if the ordered car has unusual specs and then you don't like it when it arrives then the dealer is mostly likely stuck with a more difficult to sell car. Also keep in mind you can keep negotiating with another dealer the whole time that you're waiting and cancel and re-order if you don't mind starting over. So there's a lot more to it. Anyways good luck.
