October is looking about as bad...so if you're looking for a great deal on a new 3-series, look to the Midwest. I just ORDERED a new 330xi from my dealer in Omaha, NE, and they knocked more than $1,000 off the MSRP. They also threw in free mats, (about $150), and free installation of the rear spoiler, (another $200). All told, that's about $1,350 off MSRP and about $2,150 over invoice. ALSO...they're offering financing at 3.9% for 36 months or 4.9% for 60 months! BMW doesn't have much in the way of holdbacks....and not alot of margin in the car to begin with...so I think getting that price on a BRAND NEW model, (the 330xi), is pretty good. I bet I could have done a *lot* better on a 330i. You should check around...maybe check Kansas City, or Des Moines, or Omaha...might be worth the cheap airplane ticket...and the nice drive through the fall colors back to Texas! |

Considering all the hoopla about the security deposits in a couple of recent posts, I thought that the dealers can waive the security deposit for people who already have another BMW lease, that is, who will be leasing yet another BMW once their current lease with BMW expires. I guess that this would apply to people who have not pulled any violations in their leases, and this would actually make sense as such leasers would have established their good credit rating with BMW FS so they would not need to pay "security" deposits again. The waiving of security deposit in this case should not cause any increase of money factor. Is this true?

| We purchased a 2006 325i on Sept 10. MSRP was 36,220 - Premium package, metallic paint, Steptronic, and heated seats. We took it home for 34,600 at 5.25% interest for 60 months ($800 over invoice) We had to haggle a lot for this deal though. Started at 34,400, got talked up to 34,600 and held steady from there and refused to go any higher or we would walk. Got our price. Was first quoted 7% APR for the car, then he dropped it to 5.9%. We actually did walk out over that one because the guy refused to budge but we knew we had excellent credit and could do better elsewhere. Got a rate of 5.25%, called up BMW, and they matched the rate. We came back to sign the papers/take delivery the next day. Looooove our Sparkling Grapphite 325!!!! | |

I currently have a 1998 328i convertable that I am looking to trade on a new 330xi. I have two questions as this is my first time negotiating for a car by myself. 1) How much of a better deal would I get selling my old car myself? Is it really worth the hassle? And 2) How much over invoce do you think i can get in the Chicago area on the new car? 2006 330xi Navigation Cold Weather Premium package black paint comfort access Sirrius prep |

This is a great forum! I have been reading for about two weeks now. Can anyone out there help me on the following car: 2006 325i Steptronic Premium package Xenon Satellite Radio Prep Metallic paint What should I pay for this car? My local dealer in Lancaster, PA (Faulkner BMW) says they will only discount $1000 off MSRP. I know I should get a better deal elsewhere. I am willing to travel. Plese help. Thanks in advance.

| I found this to be a great forum. This was my first opportunity to buy ANY automobile online. Last week I was able to buy a 2006 325 i with metallic paint, power seats, automatic transmission and satellite radio prewire for 32,390 before tax and fees. My dealership was Stevens Creek BMW (Santa Clara, CA) and I cannot say enough good words in how professional and efficient the internet team was. Two thumbs up! | |
