Hello everyone, I'm starting my quest for a used 2001/02/03 330i. My color preference would be mystic blue w/black int. but I not set on that color. Although I'd wouldn't want to purchase a white or silver and they seem to be the only ones available. Looking to keep it near or under $25K. Anyone have a suggestion where to search? Visited local lots with no success. Also what are some key pointer to keep an eye for when looking at used 3 series? Thanks a bunch.

Then make your offer in real dollars... and never mention the term "invoice" in any negotiations... Once you start working a deal from invoice + $XXX, then the dealer will start adding in all sorts of things.. Be aware that you might not be able to get the absolute rock-bottom deal from every dealer.. And yes.. dealer, document, conveyence fees.. are all part of the profit figure.. hope this helps, kyfdx |

I didn't check the MSRP, but let's assume it is correct... Also, I'm assuming from the residual, that you are looking at a 3yr/36K lease.. This is how it should look MSRP $35,194 Selling price $33,194 ($1K lower.. aggressive.. should be at least $500 lower) Residual: 60% (325xi..3yr/36K) MF: .00125 Cap cost: $33,819 (33,194 + 625 acq.fee) Due at signing: Plates, taxes, 1st payment ($421.50), security deposit ($450) Payment: $421.50/mo. If you use your selling price, the payment increases by $30/mo. regards, kyfdx |

CPO units will have plenty of warranty.. 3) Depending on your need for horsepower, consider 325i as well. 4) Here is a car an Edmunds poster just bought, similar to what you are looking for.. I believe they paid under $25K for it.. http://www.billjacobsbmw.com/index.cfm?action=InventorySearch&- ;subaction=SearchDetail&Vehicle=B7444A&vehicleid=9836&- ;ListBack=1&VehicleOwnerFranchiseID=718 5) There should be a LOT of dealers in the South Florida area... shop around.

You should at least be able to get that much off and probably significantly more. If you have to order it, I would think you would want to do that relatively soon with the new '06 version on the way. Personally, I don't think your requirements are out of the ordinary. They look very much like what I found on the dealer lots when I first started looking. |

Replying to: paramount13 (Jan 07, 2005 11:29 pm) 2) During the last week of December, I visited three BMW dealers and each dealer has atleast 15 of these strip down ones. They were running a $299/month lease special and giving a $2k off MSRP on them. I both mine on 12/30 and all three dealers still has roughtly the same inventory in their lot. So, I bet the chance is good they will be availalbe after January. 3) $2500 under invoice (Edmunds or KBB) |
