New to the forum. I am looking for a 2009 328 coupe with automatic, prem, heated seats, bluetooth and IPod adapter. 3 years 15K miles per year. 1) I've contacted a few dealers and received some ballpark numbers including...$6600 down with $435 per month. I have been unable to have them send me the exact numbers (Residual, MF etc)Does this down payment sound extremely high?? I am comparing this to the recent ad and understand my specs are somewhat higher but $6600 down?? 2) I've also working on receiving a quote from a Lease Broker (still in process) I've been told that the residual would be for 44%. Does this seem low? What is the residual value for 36 months 15K? What can i expect on a monthly and total down payment? Also, can anyone recommend a respectable lease broker? Sharing your experiences is much appreciated. |

I was going to take advantage of the 1.9% interest rate last month and pull the trigger on a 335i Coupe. Dealer offered me $1k below invoice on anything he had on the lot and invoice on anything he had to trade for. I was pretty specific about what I wanted so they ended up bringing something in. After finding some issues with that car we agreed they would order me a 2010 exactly the way I wanted it and give it to me at invoice. Good deal I think?, except now I am in wait mode for 8-10 weeks and still not sure what the 2010 interest rates at the time of delivery are going to be. Doesn't look like any changes from '09 to '10 model and invoice prices are exactly the same. Any comments on my experience or decision? |

Replying to: vinnyny (Sep 18, 2009 2:32 pm) My greater concern was I was told that at the end of the lease the purchase option price is not negotiable. By the dealer reposessing the car, they could then negotiate the price if I decide to buy it. This sounds contrary to everything I read about exercising the purchase option at the end of a lease, but maybe BMW does things differently? Joseph |

Got the dealer down to ~33k (including TTL) OTD with a listing price of $36.5k (not including TTL) Less than 20k miles and standard options with I believe what looks like the sports package. No navigation. What do you think? |

hey everybody-- just want to thanks edmunds.com, car_guy and kyfdx for all their amazing help. got a quick question: i'm new to the whole car leasing (car buying) situation and wanted some insight regarding price realated to invoice and money factor. whats is bmw finacial best money factor rate for a 36 month 12k lease for a 328 i sedan 2009? also, i live in LA, and i know its a competitive market. What do you think is the best price in relation to invoice to be expected to negotiate on lease? that is is 500 over the best price right now in souther ca? 1000 below invoice? I have one offer from a dealer willing to go 300 under invoice with a .00235 money factor. Any advice from car_guy or anyone else would be GREATLY APPRECAITED!!! Thanks Mark Santa Monica
