I just bought an 09 Odyseey yesterday and got the 8 yr/100k/$0 deductible Hondacare warranty from my dealer for $1100. I talked to a dealer in December and they wanted 1400 for the 7 year/84k warranty/$50...then I found this website and I knew that I could do better.
I would cancel it and buy it through one of the online resellers if I were you. I am in MA where Bernardi Honda is located, they are one of the online sellers and I can tell you that they are a legitimate dealer. I ended up at another dealership b/c of price, but they honored the Bernardi price on the warranty.

Hope that helps.

I had a major steering column repair on my 06 pilot that happened at 35000 miles...the car needed the entire steering column replaced at a cost of more than $3000...luckily I was still within the 3 yr/36k warranty... I didn't have the extended warranty b/c that was a lease. Since that happened and I am planning to keep this Odyssey for 10-12 years, I figured that I could justify the investment. It pays for itself if you have one major issue.
That's just the way that I look at it...hope that helps.

If you purchase a car I think it's worth the peace of mind to get the extended warranty, however get it in the third year or before 36K miles. If you lease don't go past 4 years it isn't worth. Especialy if something would go wrong with it in the year your bringing the car back.

Well, the price of the warranty will be higher then and the coverage will be less than you can get when new. Warranties sold with the first 6,000 miles of vehicle usage get you the maximum value. And you get free roadside assistance from the time you purchase the warranty which is like a $50/year value compared to AAA.

Hello everrybody,
I am about to buy a 2006 EX-L Honda pilot. It has only 25000 miles on it.
I have two questions about the vehicle.
1) It is more than 36 months old so what options do I have to buy extended warranty. The dealer quoted me $ 2300 for 7 year 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. The vehicle does come with 7 year 100,000 power train warranty.

2) One of the door is missing the Vin number does that mean the vehicle was in an accident.I checked the car fa it is clear.

thank you very mcuh
regards

The online dealers do not sell genuine Honda Care warranties for vehicles that are more than 36 months old. Check out the company who is providing the warranty your dealership is offering very closely. Some people have difficulty with the third party companies.

I bought a honda 2009 few days back with warrantry. The dealer offered me a 3rd party warrntry and said it would cover evertying but when I read their contract after coming home. I realize that there are huge number of clauses that could not cover most kind of repairs. Also I read their contract and I can cancel their warantry before 60 days at no cost.

I am in sacramento area, I would like to find out how to go about getting Extended warrantry from Honda (not third Party). I would appreciate your help

Some online dealers don't sell to California. However, this College Hills Honda does not say anything about restrictions to sales in California.

They should cover you for one year and or 12,000 miles bumper to bumper or don't buy the truck from them.
