Replying to: ryo998 (Feb 08, 2009 7:49 am) I also live in SoCal, but I'm in the military with home of record as Washington State, I got my extended warranty from Bernardi Honda via the internet, which saved me about $400. I had them mail my warranty to my address in Washington. You can do it that way, if you catch my drift......when the warranty is sold, American Honda will have to honor it - it does not matter where it came from. If you don't want to go that route - try Honda World in Downey, Ca.. Good Luck. Rod

Replying to: krh294 (Feb 06, 2009 7:52 pm) As the sample contract says Section D & E only applies to Sentinel Services. I don't know exactly what Sentinel is, but it is not apart of the typical Honda Care and so oil changes would not be covered. |

Replying to: RoBoRaT (Feb 08, 2009 9:43 am) When I give them the VIN, won't they know that the car was sold in California and registered to my home address even if I give them an out of state mailing address? Michael

Replying to: ryo998 (Feb 09, 2009 1:28 pm) The law in California applies to residents of California. Not cars sold in California. If you have a legal mailing address in another state, then the selling dealer can sell to you regardless of where you bought the car. As far as they know, you recently moved there, or you just went to California to buy the car because you got a good deal. As I said, yesterday, if you check curryhondacare.com, you may be able to buy as a California resident without having to worry about a different address. |

I will be picking up my car 09 Accord EX-L V6 for 28.6 plus tax, title, and license, next week and was wondering about the extended warranty. A 6 year / 75k mile warranty was $1185 + tax but is fully refundable if I don't make a claim against it. Doesn't seem like I have much to lose if I decide to get it, except for the interest I would have earned. I visited the online dealer's website, the one involved in the lawsuit, and saw it was much cheaper, but I don't know if they offer a full refund if the warranty is unused. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
