I only knew how they worked because I have been posting on this thread for some time now. The examples you found at Delray Acura definitely cleared up the matter. Nice find.

I am shocked American Honda got away with this. Hopefully Automotive News will do a follow up as I would love to hear the court's reasoning.   I am considering purchasing an Accord or TL this summer, amongst others, but this really ticks me off and makes me lean towards a competing model. Pretty much any dealer will sell you one by phone, so they weren't trying to ban that.   However, without being able to advertise and sell over the internet, its doubtful they would have the quantity of sales that they had previously and they may not be able to offer such low prices.

In a dark, deep past this forum was once oriented to why consumers should not purchase a HCEW. Non purchasers ruled the forum and it was not consumer oriented.To that it may return, justified this time if the online dealers are forced out. Honda makes a helluva vehicle but crap doth happen. Whether you buy or not is a function of price. At retail prices I may turn to a negative postion. Shame shame shame.

I am looking to buy an EW for my 2006 Pilot (10K miles only so far) and I found https://www.myhondawarranty.com/ has the cheapest rate for 5yr/60K.   Is there any other place that I can get it lower ?   Thanks. Replying to: tjc30 (Nov 05, 2007 11:02 am) I work at Saccucci Honda and run MyHondaWarranty.com.   If you are going to purchase a Honda Care Contract please support us if you can. We are the dealership that stood up to Honda's internet guidelines which would have banned internet sales last year.   As you most likely know from posts on this board that online dealers sell at cost, and work for bonus money from Honda. My site currently sells at cost, but some dealers are now selling $25 below cost. With our case going to trial we cannot start to sell below cost. It would only make our current situation more difficult.   My dealership is the lone dealer funding this litigation. All the other Honda warranty sites still operating during our injunction have not offered us a single penny, or even a simple thank you. We have spent more money fighting for the right to sell online than profit we have made.   Last week Judge Lisi overturned our injunction. Honda Can now pull the plug on all the Honda Care sites at anytime. The only thing that stands in the way online sales disappearing for good is our trial.   I am putting together a site that will explains the current legal situation.
