My 04 Accord is a lease. I extended the lease after the 3 years were up to go month to month. I know have 55,000 miles and want to purchase the car off the lease. I (knock wood) have been trouble free for 55,000 miles, but was considering the HondaCare. The dealer offered me 4/48 for $1250. I thought the car has to be below 36000 miles to buy it? So the car will be bumper to bumper warrantied to 103,000. Is this a good deal? AW

| I am trading in my 07 Pilot while I can still get some decent money while gas prices are low. I purchased a 8yr. Hondacare policy for approx. 1300$ and will get back most of this by filling out a cancellation form at the Honda dealer and the refund check will be sent directly to me. Very simple and the Hondacare people were a CLASS ACT OVER THE TELEPHONE. I originally purchased this policy over the web from Saccucci Honda at the lowest price and would reccomend them. The Hondacare 800 number is 1-800-594-7400. Thanks to all on this forum for all of your great info. I will be driving a new Honda S2000 and while I will put it away in the winter it will get a workout in the Denver summer season! | |

Then when you click the dealer, there is usually a link that says Visit Dealer Web Site. Each dealer's website is is different but usually they all have a Contact Us link somewhere on there. However, there's nothing you should be concerned with as far as buying a Honda Care online from what of the dealers mentioned here such as myhondawarranty.com. Other dealers in your area probably won't match their prices or have any incentive to sell you the Honda Care especially since you didn't buy it from them because they won't make much money at that price. The reason the online dealers can sell them at that rate, is they sell so many, that apparently Honda gives them a bonus and they can make a profit in that way. When you buy online, the Honda Care documentation still comes straight from the corporate office in California the same way as you receive it if you purchased it from a local dealer.

Or have them fax you the terms and conditions so that you can review them at your leisure. Review carefully what is covered and what is not covered. It probably won't be bumper to bumper. Then you can decide if it is a good deal for you or not. And if it is a true Honda Care warranty that is being offered for a 55,000 mile vehicle, please let us know that too.

Hi. I would love to hear people's experiences with whether or not an ew is needed/ or worth the money for an "06 pilot that now has 35,200 miles and is running great. The best prices I have gotten (over the internet, thanks to many other postings) were from myhondawarranty.com at $1345 for 5 years/60,000 miles or bernardiwarranty.com at $1290 for the same coverage. My question is, given Honda's great realiability, and the fact that I don't have a dvd or nav system, (although it is 4WD), should I spend the money and buy the warranty, or is it not worth it?? We plan to keep the car for a long time. Please give me your thoughts quickly, b/c I only have about another 800 miles to decide. Thanks for all advice. Cheryl

When the odometer hits 60,000 miles, coverage stops. Period. Cut and copied from one of the online companies: Coverage for a new auto begins when the vehicle is originally put into service and at zero miles. Coverage for a pre-owned plan(vehicles over 6,000 miles) begins on the service contract purchase date, and at the mileage on the odometer on that date. Otherwise, everyone would wait until 35,999 miles and then buy a 8/120 warranty which would cover the car for a total of 11 years and 156,000 miles. No way.
