For those who got the Honda Care, did you pay for it upfront or was it added on top of your payments if you financed. Was it spread out yearly (equally) or financed?

I paid upfront with one of the dealers online after I had purchased the vehicles, so I did not have it financed.

You probably should cancel the plan within the first 60 days and then buy it for the $1,195 with the extra 2 years and 40,000 miles of coverage for the same price. After all, it's in the later time period where there is a higher risk of something going wrong with the vehicle.

Purchased mine from the dealer at the time of sale. Wrapped it into my 2.9% 60 month payment.

Cost $ 780 for 7 years, 80,000 miles (more than I need). Zero deductible.

2008 Honda Ridgeline. Purchased Nov 2008.

It does not look like curryhondacare.com restricts purchases to California residents---only to Florida residents.

On the prices I just checked, their rates are about $275 higher than myhondawarranty.com. However, when you request a quote, they immediately send you an email for another $90 off, so that equals $185 higher.

But if you can't get any actual California dealer to get that low, Curry Honda may provide California residents with the best online price. I purchased a Honda Care from them many years ago and they gave good service.

Hi! I just purchased an '09 4 Cycle Accord and it has 5250 miles on it. I foolishly purchased the Honda Care through the Dealer and paid $1450 for a 8mo/120K/100deductible. I already talked to them and told them my intent was to cancel unless they could match the online prices ($940) for a 8mo/120K/nodeductible. They said they couldn't do it and it was lower than their cost, but said to come right in and cancel.

I'm kinda iffy about purchasing one online even with all of the success of everyone in the forum. I was going to send an email to all of the nearby dealers to see if any of them would match it, but I can't seem to find their email addresses on their websites! Am I missing something or is there somewhere else I should be looking!?

My dealer was in Schaumburg, IL.

Also, I was just reading on the Honda Care website and they offer something called the "Sentinel" which covers the cost of oil changes and if something happens to your tires. Anyone found any luck pricing that online?

HondaCare question #2821 by nycnftm

My 04 Accord is a lease. I extended the lease after the 3 years were up to go month to month. I know have 55,000 miles and want to purchase the car off the lease. I (knock wood) have been trouble free for 55,000 miles, but was considering the HondaCare. The dealer offered me 4/48 for $1250. I thought the car has to be below 36000 miles to buy it? So the car will be bumper to bumper warrantied to 103,000. Is this a good deal? AW

Information On Cancelling A Policy by jpb7190

I am trading in my 07 Pilot while I can still get some decent money while gas prices are low. I purchased a 8yr. Hondacare policy for approx. 1300$ and will get back most of this by filling out a cancellation form at the Honda dealer and the refund check will be sent directly to me. Very simple and the Hondacare people were a CLASS ACT OVER THE TELEPHONE. I originally purchased this policy over the web from Saccucci Honda at the lowest price and would reccomend them. The Hondacare 800 number is 1-800-594-7400. Thanks to all on this forum for all of your great info. I will be driving a new Honda S2000 and while I will put it away in the winter it will get a workout in the Denver summer season!

For email addresses you can go to Honda's main website, hondacars.com and use the dealer locator to find dealers in your area. Then when you click the dealer, there is usually a link that says Visit Dealer Web Site. Each dealer's website is is different but usually they all have a Contact Us link somewhere on there.

However, there's nothing you should be concerned with as far as buying a Honda Care online from what of the dealers mentioned here such as myhondawarranty.com. Other dealers in your area probably won't match their prices or have any incentive to sell you the Honda Care especially since you didn't buy it from them because they won't make much money at that price.

The reason the online dealers can sell them at that rate, is they sell so many, that apparently Honda gives them a bonus and they can make a profit in that way. When you buy online, the Honda Care documentation still comes straight from the corporate office in California the same way as you receive it if you purchased it from a local dealer.

Yes, that is my understand as well for Honda Care. I would go to the dealer and see the extended warranty care in writing. Or have them fax you the terms and conditions so that you can review them at your leisure. Review carefully what is covered and what is not covered. It probably won't be bumper to bumper. Then you can decide if it is a good deal for you or not.

And if it is a true Honda Care warranty that is being offered for a 55,000 mile vehicle, please let us know that too.

Don't know how they did it, but I have all the official paperwork. My 04 Accord is now warrantied bum,per to bumper 4/48 on top of the 55,000 I already have. Not a moment too soon. The driver's window is making a ton of noise when I open and close it.
