I am one of the unfortunate ones living in California that are not allowed to buy extended warranties online (although they will sell them to you...and its argued if you can or can not buy them). I ended up sending out about 20 request and two dealerships agreed to my amount ($925.00 for the 7yr/80k mile with no deductible). This was within a few dollars of the best online price. I saved nearly $600.00 from the dealers price !!!! Good luck with this. If you need the dealership name in California I used let me know. You might also want to call Honda Corporate about the mileage. does anyone no if this is the time to buy or wait until after 1/5/09? we can get at 2009 EX for 18,625 excludes tax license etc, for 3.9% x 60 months, or should we wait a week or two and see what the interest rates are? "   Wrong forum sir. You want either prices paid or new lease rates. But since you need 3.9% or less I'd say you don't need a car. Drive that Yugo to the ground.

I looked to see what they would sell them for back east and like I stated before, got some GREAT advice from "Dantz" on here. I bought a 2009 Manual Accord LX in early November. It has just over 3,000 miles on it.   I apparently researched every aspect of the process except extended warranties. I was going to not get one, but in a moment of weakness I got one at the dealer without really knowing what I was doing.   I bought a 6 year/72,000 mile warrant through Fidelity Warranty Services. I didn't realize that this wasn't a factory one, or what the difference was. I did get the price knocked down a few hundred and paid $1100 for it. Supposedly, if I don't use it I get the amount I paid for it back.   My 60 days to turn in this warranty is up in the next couple of days. I am currently planning on keeping this vehicle for quite a while (certainly past the warranty) and there is a chance that I may get to 72K in under 6 years.   Should I turn this warranty back in? Are they going to honor me getting my money back in 72K? Can someone recommend online vendors for Honda Car Care Warranties? I am not sure how legitimate are the bunch I get when I google.    I live in Indiana with 4,900 miles in an Accord 09 and the dealer asks close to 3000 for 7 year/120,000 warranty. Thanks!
