they didn't get in to how much off I would get but it was "implied" that they could put me in a 2006 Quest for less than I am paying now. It's intriguing because i would love the current Quest S since it has a few features that I wish I had on my 2004 Quest S like power rear vent windows, power tailgate and roof rack. Also i don't feel like droppign $500 on new tires.
If they kept my payments the saem or less for reasonable period of time, I might be interested (and toss in an extended warranty).

They don't need 04s to sell lol. That's a gimmick to get you in. Maybe some 05 owners can tell us if they got a similar letter. We got two offer letters, one from Nissan and one from our selling dealer. I'm strongly thinking about getting an 07 because our red 04 is really banged up. (We have a white 04SL and a red 04SE).
The banging was our faults, not Nissan; we have had no significant issues with the Quests. Worst thing that comes to my mind is my sunroof has memory issues. I stopped using the slide-open because of that, but the tilt works fine.
#2108 of 2475 buzzing noise from the front
Aug 14, 2006 (9:04 am)
Our 05 van with 19k miles recently developed a buzzing noise whenever the motor is running. It's not terribly loud but is definitely audible when the windows are down. Does anyone know how big a concern this is? Our van is perfect otherwise. Thanks!

#2110 of 2475 2007 Quest ??
Aug 16, 2006 (2:15 pm)
Has anybody purchased or driven the 2007? If so, how is it compared to the 2004-2006 models?
I think they improved in every aspect, but one major design flaw: The rear folding seat remains a one-piece bench design - not 60/40 as most other offer. Why did they do that?
I think otherwise it competes very well with the leaders.

Hello Samnoe.. I actually purchased this vehicle a few days ago. To give everyone an idea of what I think, here is a c/paste of a review I posted the other day on a different site. Enjoy.
If there are any comments or questions, feel free to ask (that applies to everyone **wink**):
Does It Do Justice .. 2007 Quest 3.5s
Ride, fit and finish, interior space, ease of rear bench stowing, car like drive, comfort, decent gas mileage for it's class, largest interior volume in it's class, wide opening sliding doors (widest in this class), 3.5L engine
Blindspot, foot peddles too close, rear bench uncomfortable, rear bench does not have 60/40 split, 2nd row seats fold flat but don't stow
Right off the bat, let me say this: I'm very glad I got the 07 over the 06!!!
So far, I'm very impressed.
If you recall, the 04 to 06 models were dogged by mechanical issues (specifically the 04 brakes). Also, they were "dissed" for it's hideous "innards". If you ask owners, I'm sure Some would also talk about power sliding door issues, rear power hatch etc..
Another problem with Nissan has been the Fit And Finnish. Tons of consumers disliked the cheapnessISH feeling of the interior (whether it be the previous Q or something else)... from simple things like the knobs - to you name it. Rattles were always an issue too.
Personally, if there was even a "whooooooosh" sound, whether inside or out, I'd notice it! All this could make a potential buyer somewhat apprehensive (am I right?)!
So. now that I have the 07, let me say this:
NISSAN FINALLY GOT IT RIGHT!
This is one impressive van.
It's great to see that Nissan's kept the "wonderful" aspects of the previous model and totally inialated the negative qualities. This achievement could be a turning point for Nissan.
Lets hope (fingers crossed) that the 2007 Quest makes a mark with dubious consumers.
Now Nissan needs to promote it with the ingenuity it deserves. I for one, will be doing my best ... !
Justice has finally been served!

Did Nissan redesigned brakes for the 2007?

I don't believe there was any redesign on brakes for 07. However, if you are referring to brake woes the 04's had, those were corrected.
As far as I know, 05/06 brakes have not been an issue.

Folks, the only issue with the 04 brakes (which I had) was the poor quality of the rotors. I replaced all my rotors with cryogenics, www.frozenrotors.com and all the warping issues dissapeared. Yes, it sucks that I had to replace them on my own for hundreds of $ but they would have to be replaced anyway at some point, I was just one step ahead of the warranty.
