Replying to: darticus (Oct 16, 2009 3:49 pm) The NAV is displayed on the face of the radio. You can tell right away by looking at the radio if you have Nav. If you do NOT have it, there will be a blank blacked out button in the middle of the row of buttons that run along the top of the radio (among those marked "AM", "FM", "CD", etc). The Nav discs are a few years old and there were/are no plans to update them so any new locations are not on them. I wouldn't go out of my way to find a Crossfire with NAV. It's not worth the extra money,mine just happened to have it. At least it knows where my house is. I might not be able to find where I am going, but I guess if I get lost I can find my way home!

I had my first oil change on a 2005 crossfire I recently bought, with 40,000 miles. I had it done at a Firestone dealer, and they used 8 quarts of "full synthetic oil," and changed the filter. But, they didn't specificy that they used Mobil, or a particular brand of fuel filter. Should I be nervous about this? Thanks very much. Replying to: ronlaw777 (Oct 22, 2009 10:29 pm) I would be finding out which brand of oil they used and which weight. I highly doubt that a Firestone dealer would carry Mobil 1 , let alone 0W-40. I would also ask about the oil filter. You want a fleece filter. And most Crossfires take at least 8 1/2 quarts oil, sometimes 9. Definitely check the oil level - and look at the quality of oil on the dipstick. I would be concerned if they even changed the filter at all - you might want to look at that as well.  Next time buy an oil extractor and do it yourself. Everything you need to get to is on top of the engine. Super easy.

Hello All,   Now is the time to sore my roadster for the winter. My garage is not heated. Please advise how to keep this car in top condition till the end of spring. I am sure there are many methods but I shall share my approach, so feel free to use/discard what you wish.   1#. I had an OLF completed 2#. Filled the tank with gas and added fuel stabilizer 3#. Parked the car placing the wheels upon 1/4 inch plywood to keep them off the cement 4#. Installed a trickle charger/battery tender – pulled electrical cord up toward windsheild 5#. Stuffed the tail pipes with rags and scented fabric softener sheets to deter mice 6#. Unscrewed the antenna and put in trunk (also put in a couple of fabric softener sheets) 7#. Placed an indoor denim cover (I was gifted this lovely cover – thanks Harold!!!) 8#. Placed fabric softener sheets on top of the cover and around the car on the floor 9#. Distributed mice bait along outside walls of garage (inside the garage) 10#. Placed moth balls along foundation of garage (on the outside)   I hope you find this response useful and I wish you continued enjoyment of your Crossfire – I know I sure love mine!!!   Cheryl

I am going to speculate that they don't as the front tires are 18 inch and the back are 19 inch and if there were room for a spare tire, one would technically need two of the different sizes.   I believe I read in this forum that they are run flats (do I have that worded correctly? or is that flat runs?). I can't verify this but I am sure one of the forum contributors will clarify. Additionally, beneath the carpeted area in the trunk you should find a couple of cavities that contain a canister/applicator that is for use when you get a flat. Exactly what the canister contains is beyond me. Having said that, I am curious if tires that are filled with nitrogen can accept the contents of the canister? Perhaps someone can clarify this.   Something of note: My tires are filled with nitrogen and they came with a warranty. This summer I ran over a screw and took it to the dealership immediately. They repaired the tire and the fee was covered under the nitrogen warranty - a lovely surprise.
