Yes - it is a common problem. There was a TSB issued about this. Mine were replaced under warranty. I have never heard of any problems with the rear lights, though.

I drive mine 365 days a year. Depending on how much snow you get, you should be fine. Remember, this car sits fairly low to the ground so I wouldn't suggest plowing through high drifts. I drove mine for two winters on the Conti all-seasons, but I don't have many hilly areas to drive and they are pretty good about plowing. Use the "W" setting if you have the auto transmission - it really works.

Rear Window falling out

I own a 2005 Crossfire convertible and the rear window is falling out. Other than replacing the top (if it can be found) has anyone had this same problem and come up with a permanent solution to reattaching the window? It only has 13,500 miles and I really enjoy it.
Help me, please...

I have a deposit on a 2008 with 5000 miles on it. I was wondering if the nav unit is available or of any use. does it look the same as the original radio. I put a deposit over the phone but didn't actually see the car in person but did see pictures. Maybe it has the Nav. It does have the cd 6 speaker AM FM data upgrade. Any help would be great! Ron

The NAV is displayed on the face of the radio. You can tell right away by looking at the radio if you have Nav. If you do NOT have it, there will be a blank blacked out button in the middle of the row of buttons that run along the top of the radio (among those marked "AM", "FM", "CD", etc). The Nav discs are a few years old and there were/are no plans to update them so any new locations are not on them. I wouldn't go out of my way to find a Crossfire with NAV. It's not worth the extra money, mine just happened to have it. At least it knows where my house is. I might not be able to find where I am going, but I guess if I get lost I can find my way home!

I had the same problem, reported it to my insurance company and they attempted to get it resealed (didn't work) and then had a new top made for it. They paid all but the deductable.

Oil and Filter Change

I had my first oil change on a 2005 crossfire I recently bought, with 40,000 miles. I had it done at a Firestone dealer, and they used 8 quarts of "full synthetic oil," and changed the filter. But, they didn't specificy that they used Mobil, or a particular brand of fuel filter. Should I be nervous about this? Thanks very much. Ronlaw777
