It is very simple...you can buy a new '07 roadster for around $24,000. Another factor is supply and demand. Dealers have probably sold more new '06 and '07 Crossfires over the last few months than were sold in the previous two years. The market is saturated. BUT WAIT...drive that car a few more years and it may be worth more than it is today.

Depsite it's amazing quality and performance- it's still a Chrysler, thats why it has depreciated so much. There is not much demand for the vehicle either.

Hello, I have a chance to purchase a new '06 untilted red crossfire with 40miles from a dealer in western pa. The msrp is $35,455.00 2 options tires and red paint. Kelley Blue Book says this 06 manual limited crossfire used is worth 21,000.00 Do you all think this is a good deal I really like the car red with silver detailing, gray leather 6- speed manual trans. My price $21,400.00 tax and plate and full tank of gas . Can I lose ten thousand in five years?

I bought what sounds like an identical car last April for $25,000. I've put 8,000 miles on the car and enjoyed every one of them. I do not regret my purchase at all even though I might be able to beat the deal now. I could have waited and saved money but would have lost 8 months of fun. Buy it...drive it...enjoy it, and worry about what it's worth when you get tired of it. Some decisions go beyond financial considerations. I used to drive really fun cars, but I have been practical for years. This is the first car that when I park it, I walk away and usually turn around to take one more look before I go in.

Good to know that I wasn't the only one that would park my Crossfire and turn back to look at it as I walked away.
It's a great feeling, isn't it?

Keep in mind that the '07s have that "Lifetime" warranty on the powertrain...the '06 doesn't.....for one or two K more......I'd suggest you get an '07 if you plan on keeping it a long time......bought my 6 speed last week & plan on keeping it a LONG time!!!! Love it!!! It's been icy & snowy here since I bought it....haven't spun a tire yet????Guess the DSC/Traction Control/ & Anti Lock Brakes work great....last rear drive I owned (78 Corvette new)...would have been doing 360s all over the place.

One reason they are dropping (I think) is that Chrysler is kicking back $10K to the dealers (I think that's what I've heard)......so if a dealer sells one to you for $22K...it's just like them selling them for $32K. I think it's just a combination of factors all coming together at the same time....Daimler & Chrysler parting company & lots of good sports cars on the market from many manufacturers. + The credit problems in the world.......if you're in the market as a buyer.....it's hog heaven !!!!! Buy-ENJOY!!

Vehicles purchased on or after July 26, 2007 only.
Q4: Are there specific provisions to the new warranty?
A4. In order to maintain the Chrysler Lifetime Powertrain Warranty, you must have a powertrain inspection performed by an authorized Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge dealer once every 5 years. This inspection, performed at no charge, must be made within 60 days of each 5-year anniversary of the warranty start date of the vehicle. It is your responsibility to perform preventative maintenance on your vehicle. You’re strongly encouraged to follow the instructions contained in the Scheduled Maintenance Service guidelines in your Owner’s Manual.
