Just bought a Steel Blue Honda Pilot EX-L, 4x4, leather, moonroof, no navi, no dvd for price as follows: $26,499 (below invoice, includes destination) + $699 (running boards) + $235 (cross bars for roof) + 8.25% CA tax + fees Total $30,007 OTD. I declined LoJack (negotiated to $1100), 7 yr. extended warranty (got them down to $1200 with AAA pricing), interior/exerior protection, gap insurance ($395), etc. Maybe a little risk with the short 3 year warranty, but I trust Hondas & won't park in shady areas. I've been looking at Pilots (and been quoted) for about 2 weeks & this guy (Henry, internet & fleet sales) beat the rock bottom by $400+. He gave a quote over the phone, then no b/s or change of plans when I arrived, he even drove to the competing dealer to get me the color I wanted the same day, and stayed late on a Sunday to be sure we walked away with our car that day. I went to another dealer (Concord Honda) earlier in the day who kept me on the lot for 1 hour after all I asked for was to see 2 different colored Pilots side by side before I make any decisions. I got the run around through 3 of their different lots while he was selling me on features I initially said I didn't want (I was very specific to them...but it was like in one ear, out the other). I never ended up seeing the color I wanted because they never had it. Based on my range of experiences, which gave me good perspective, I would highly recommend Livemore Honda for their internet pricing and no hassle sales. |

Replying to: jsu1 (Jul 21, 2007 11:06 pm) Holman Honda of Fort Lauderdale: $20,988, or $22,858.11 OTD Brickell Motors "NEW 2007 Honda Pilot LX; Retail Price $ 28,840.00 Internet Price $21,243.00" (before taxes and fees) Potamkin Honda: “We guarantee to beat any price from any dealer as long as you bring it to me in writing”. So you have a competitive number to work with the Honda LX 2 WD without tax, tag and fees is....$21,638.96 your choice of colors. Coral Springs Honda didn’t give me a quote but promised to beat other quotes. Maroone Honda’s lowest OTD price was $23,349. Started with Sherwood Honda, but since I was trying to get the best price for my trade in, I shopped around for a while. If you don’t have a trade in and have cash on hand it’s easy: get as many quotes as you can via email from internet sales managers (submit quote requests from http://automobiles.honda.com/pilot/ or other sites) and then play dealers asking to beat each other’s quote. If you have a trade in, the game continues: have your blue-book trade in value printouts ready. Once they offer less than half for your old car, negotiate and be ready to walk out. Most likely they will up the offer at the door or will give you a call soon after. See other dealers if you have the rest of the day free. Of course, make sure the dealer has the vehicle he’s promising in stock (get vin #s). Read other posts in this group – it helped me a lot. And since I already got my Pilot, I will be lurking in the accessories group now. Good luck ------------ Hi, Pilot_or_toy: I am living in south FL and looking for a Pilot LX. Could you please tell me from which dealer you got the offer? Thanks a lot!
